This is sounding realllllly great tbh and whilst it's very clear that Xbox is moving away from discs as well, it's great to see them have a solid plan in place before doing so.

Officially RC'd almost a month ago and for the reasons reported but with even more detail about why the ACB couldn't let this one through based on the guidelines.

Got to have a really interesting chat with Bethesda Game Studios about the extra difficulty needed to print a game as big as this onto a physical cartridge for Nintendo Switch 2.

Right now is the best time to buy a Switch 2 if you're in the market. Stock on ALL consoles is low in the lead-up to the price increase and the game bundles are now being cleared out with no more stock incoming.

What a game. Such a simple idea on paper, but it works so so well and the use of audio is unlike anything I've experienced in a game before. A must play.

As much as it probably makes sense on paper, it's a sad, sad day for gamers and physical media, and I feel that Aussie gamers are set to be hit harder (based on what we're used to) than other markets.

As a solo developer it's really easy to get in my own head and lose sight of what makes the game worth making. It's people getting excited about the game, playing the game, and writing stuff like this that keeps me going. (first screencap from @pcgamer.com, second is from @pressstartau.bsky.social)

A screenshot from PCGamer. "Watching the trailer for Your Holy & Virtuous Heretic during the Frosty Games Fest, my first thought was of Dread Delusion, the indie micro-Morrowind. Then the combat started and I remembered Felvidek, the RPG set in early modern Hungary. But overall, I was reminded of the psychedelic historical movie A Field in England. If it's not clear, these are all top-notch things to bring to mind."

A screenshot from Press Start. "I'm ready to give myself over to whatever Satan this games artist is worshipping. This game is hot."
