the Portrush Sons of Ulster march has forced the R&A to shift tee times. If that sentence made absolutely no sense, check out my Q&A on who these people are, why they're marching, and why it's so controversial along the Catholic-Protestant divide here in NI: www.golfdigest.com/story/britis...

I was in the media center wondering if any Tour pro had ever birdied out the Green Mile. The answer was yes—just one. Then I wondered if any *member* had done it. I found two, and both stories blew my mind. Favorite story I've worked on in a while - www.golfdigest.com/story/quail-...

I thought the Players represented a real low point in relations between players and the media (Morikawa, Scottie, Rory), with an unnecessary fixation on what they "owe" us. Wrote about why that's the wrong question, and why we shouldn't be enemies, here: www.golfdigest.com/story/the-pl...

I knew John Feinstein for a decade, and today I wrote about his generosity to me before I even got paid to write, when I was young and stupid, and how that generosity matched his talent: www.golfdigest.com/story/john-f...

My public course wanted to start an Interclub team (state-wide league, plenty of other public courses in it), but got "vetoed" by some private club captains, and the CGA, the organizing body, isn't doing anything about it. I wrote about it today: www.golfdigest.com/story/i-am-a...

I have wanted to write about my feelings/beliefs on God for a while now, so today I did. I called it "The Nameless God": sunsource.substack.com/p/the-namele... It's a little bit disorganized, but I wanted to write it quickly and honestly.

I came across a quote the other day that has stayed with me in the weeks since.

On Golfpocalypse, I ask why the Tour doesn't move to a 20-event F1 style schedule, all signature all the time, and be done with the piddly diddly. Plus a nerdy IRL Rory comp, thoughts on Detry, Scottie, Michael Kim, and a reader story that blew my mind: www.golfdigest.com/story/should...

Should the PGA Tour just move to an F1-style schedule and be done with it?

In the latest edition of Golfpocalypse, Shane Ryan imagines an all-killer, no-filler PGA Tour schedule.

We designed a one-mile hole at our home course, and had the assistant pro and the club champ play it when the weather closed us out. This was super fun to make: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPCh...
