I forgot about that. Note I didn’t fit the underside canopies. They would be a job to cut to size with nothing to rest on. In hindsight I would have fitted them using the lip of the plastic they were cut from inside out but I thought of that too late.

Finished the Planet Models p170 Schnell Bomber. Hand painted aside from varnish. Was an interesting / different build as a resin kit with everything needing alignment by eye. Had to cut the middle landing gear leg down to get it to sit nicely. Happy with the result. #histscalemodels

Which phone was it? Can’t say I have noticed any difference but then again I barely do anything on mine. Loosely related, I see ugreen are releasing an iPhone charger with cooling so that it can charge without slowing down due to thermals. 😅

Made a bit of progress with my #ItaliaGB build. Most of the interior is done. Not sure how much weathering to do to it. I painted the inside of the engine compartment black as you can still see inside it from places. #histscalemodels

Nice! The model is looking good so far. I might look at the 1:35 at some point as it looks an interesting one. Its a good job you posted that yellow as its looks quite different to dunkelgelb and I would have probably painted my tank that without thinking otherwise. 😅

A couple of extra bits to go with my #ItaliaGB build. Once I saw the tank crew I had to have them but this meant getting some extra decals because the Italian schemes were lacking decal wise in the kit. #histscalemodels

It’s very tempting. I have a few of their tools. The panel line pen is very good if only an ink pen nib with a nice body. Either way it works well and I have their photo etch bending block which is useful. I am usually not to bad at painting wheels but I am going to look at this.

There is a product I use called liquid gravity. It’s incredibly fine metal balls so you can maximise how much of it you can get into a gap.

Yes all resin aside from some very flimsy clear plastic. It’s been an experience but I think it’s going to turn out ok. The clear parts you have to cut to size and they give you 3 lots in case you mess up. Mines not perfect but it’s one of those situations where you settle for good enough I think.

One of the kits I am trying to get finished off before I can properly start on the group build. The P170 is getting there, had a bit of an issue with a fuel stain brusher which refused to be thinned after application. I don't think its turned out too bad considering. #HistScaleModels

Tamiya acrylic and lacquer for spraying. Atom paints for hand painting and spraying. (Probably my favourite all round) Some Warhammer colour / citadel and Humbrol for hand painting. Mostly mig / ammo enamel and oils for washing and weathering. Warhammer, Humbrol and Tamiya rattle cans.

I have built a lot of 1/35 Italeri armour. I find they do some more interesting subjects than the norm. The part fit is likely not going to be as good as Tamiya but I have never encountered anything a bit of basic modelling skills wouldn't overcome. Expect to do a bit more sanding and filling.

When it comes to playing with software emulation out of the box you are right. But the A3D is much more than that and offers plenty of options to make the games look how you want especially if you have a decent OLED display to make full use of the filters and things. And it saves having a CRT around

I am not a massive fan of the term either but all I can say is some of those games branded as such are the most fun I have had with friends and family. I have thought a few times about whether to suggest some kind of weekly Evercade discord online club for these sorts of games.

Excellent! I really like that splinter camo. I loved this kit / the look of the aircraft so much that I bought the vintage 1:24 version. Time will tell if that was a mistake or not. 😅

Thank you. I was a bit worried about the texture at first but it looked good in the end. I cut out a long strip for the main section and pieces for the closed and entrance end then soaked them in watered down pva. Then hung them over the frame and blended them together.

Something very different here. Not only does this curious craft look almost sci fi but it's a resin kit too. No way of aligning parts other than by eye and plenty of sanding filling.. and sawing! Finally got to test my Tamiya saw I randomly picked up. No idea how it will turn out. #histscalemodels
