Turning 39 today and didn’t anticipate such a big life change this late, but as of tonight, I’ll be officially retired from teaching after 15 years! I’ll have to share longer thoughts on the education system at some point. It’s been great working full time at Draft Sharks Fantasy now!

Absolutely with you! Losing to Michigan again stunk, but if that was the kick in the butt that leads to a National Championship, I’ll take it!

This one feels different than those. Cautious optimism against a strong and tough Notre Dame team. Hoping for a great game tonight showcasing a ton of different players. But, I'll be nervous all day!

Then in 2014, there was no chance OSU could beat an Alabama playoff team with a third string QB. I was hoping it would just stay close. Dreams came true beating Oregon in the National Championship that year.

Shane P. Hallam @shanephallam.draftcountdown.com · 20/01/2025

When I was a student at Ohio State, I was SURE OSU was going to dominate both National Championship they were in while I was there (06 & 07 seasons). The Buckeyes got crushed in both.

Appreciate you brother. I'll go to my grave knowing Bruce Irvin was a bad pick despite his success. The rant was legit.

Can't believe they let the Steelers in over a 3-loss SEC team

Will need some luck on the AFC end. Either Chargers make it to the AFC championship (vs. Bills) or Hunt/Kincaid get involved. NFC is Eagles/Vikings NFC Championship or bust! (Also wasn't me who misspelled Kincaid btw :))

10-team fantasy playoff draft. PPR, can't take two players from the same team (some supplemental drafts later in the playoffs). Here is my squad from the 7 hole:

Things that can only happen in Week 18: Joe Milton looking good

020

Shane P. Hallam @shanephallam.draftcountdown.com · 05/01/2025

Week 18 is always fun for the possibilities to me. The best plan for the Bills now is to just kneel for the rest of the game, right? Patriots get a worse pick, you are locked into the playoffs. Maybe you can get some reps in, but kneel if you get anywhere close.

Shane P. Hallam @shanephallam.draftcountdown.com · 04/01/2025

It’s tough, but worth searching, especially the week of the draft when a lot of that comes out. Likability I’m not as keen on, but a lot of that can be gleamed from film with effort and improvement. Not always, but often.

Shane P. Hallam @shanephallam.draftcountdown.com · 04/01/2025

Jermaine Burton is a case study on why it is important to consider character in draft evaluations. Effort, development, etc all take the right mindset and less of field distractions. Taking him on Day 2 was a mistake from the start

The NFL has a systematic approach to seeding and less teams. I like the home field games, but you know some conferences will complain about it

000

Shane P. Hallam @shanephallam.draftcountdown.com · 22/12/2024

No, but would the games have been closer on neutral sites? Will the SEC complain about Tennessee going to Columbus? Just too much room for complaints with the arbitrary nature of seeding

100

Shane P. Hallam @shanephallam.draftcountdown.com · 22/12/2024

Have a feeling the home field advantage in the first round of the CFB Playoff won’t stick around for too long. The four teams that had a game this year should cherish it!
