I am not doing so great at staying up to date with bluesky. I'm trying, though! Here are a few pictures from barnhunt this weekend. Happy dogs play at NADM farm!

This is Stetson, done in acrylic on 11x14" canvas. I'm not having the best luck uploading timelapse videos on Bluesky, but I have been able to get them through on FB/IG @shamrockstudios2017 and YouTube @shamrockstudios5825. I like when a mandala background works well with the subject!

Got to visit the Abingdon Arts Depot today to see the Virginia Highlands Festival Juried Fine Arts Show. My piece, "Storm Warning", was accepted. I love that it was hung next to another horse painting, by artist Shannon Piek Mathena. Horses need a herd!

Here are some photos from this weekend's horse show in Gordonsville, VA. I loved catching the tall and the small together! I have the photos up on my website if anyone attended and wants to view or purchase pictures.

Daisy isn't interested, either. But I agree, fun to watch! And it's neat seeing the newer dogs gain confidence with each jump.

He is so awesome! It's been fun watching you both in barn hunt. Looking forward to seeing you again this fall.

I love photographing dock diving. The dogs are having so much fun, and it's never a bad thing to get splashed a little when they hit the water on a hot day! Photos from NADM NADD Regional Qualifier are up on my website now.

@solfabulous.bsky.social Here are some sneak peeks from this weekend's qualifier at NADM's K-9 Performance Events . Even though it was HOT 🥵, the dogs were having so much fun jumping in the pool. I'm hoping to have pictures ready sometime on Wednesday.

I am thrilled that this piece found a wonderful home with a couple who saw it on display while they were on vacation. They fell in love with it and said they couldn't stop thinking about it, so they came back and bought it! It makes me so happy when my work ends up with the perfect collector(s).

Yesterday was a great day at Smoky Mountain K9 Sports in Morristown for their first dock diving event of the year. There were some newbies at their first competition and they knocked it out of the park! I was so impressed with all of the dogs.

"Storm Warning" won an Award of Excellence at the 2025 Appalachian Art Show several weeks ago. I took it back to Southwest Virginia Cultural Center & Marketplace today where it will be available for purchase. Tracy handmade a custom frame for this piece using barnwood from our farm.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! Human-moms, fur moms, anyone who fills that "mom" type role. This is me and my mom. I love that she has shared her loves for art, nature and animals with me. I love my mom to the moon and back.

This memorial portrait of Rhythm made it home to his mom today. Rhythm was a galgo, a Spanish version of a greyhound. He loved to eat broccoli and carry his toys on walks. You will be missed, sweet boy. 11x14" acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas

Three fun-filled weekends this month! I'll be doing event photos at the spring hunter pace, barn hunt, and dock diving. It's going to be busy - and fun!

Shamrock Studios @shamrockstudios.bsky.social · 02/05/2025

Thank you! I would like to do a little bit of adjustment with the colors to help her pop, but that may be a project for another time!

This is my girl, Daisy. We had a mini photo shoot in our woods today. These are straight out of the camera. I may try to edit them in the future, but right now I have some other work to do. Just wanted to share because I think she's super cute!

I always have fun at the All American Dog Sports Halloween NADAC Trial in Blacksburg, but this year, I get to come out for their spring🌷 trial, too! I will be there Saturday and Sunday. Best wishes for clean, fast, safe runs and lots of fun with your best friend(s). See ya in the morning!!

Shamrock Studios @shamrockstudios.bsky.social · 23/04/2025

I'm so happy that you like them! Sometimes the barnhunt pictures can be a little boring, just dog sniffing hay, but sometimes there are some good action shots to be had!

000

Shamrock Studios @shamrockstudios.bsky.social · 23/04/2025

I love that you are building your own equipment. We DIY'd ours, as well. Not as ambitious as you, though, and we skipped the A-frame LOL

Shamrock Studios @shamrockstudios.bsky.social · 23/04/2025

Love it up there! I took Mom and Dad up there 10 or 12 years ago and we took my f-350 so there was room for everyone comfortably. We got up to the gardens and my tire was flat to the rim. It was a disaster! I can't see rhodies without thinking of that!

Shamrock Studios @shamrockstudios.bsky.social · 23/04/2025

Thank you for ordering pictures! I'm so happy that you like them. You both did a fantastic job. He's such a handsome boy.

Happy Earth Day! This is my favorite tree in our field. I measured the circumference a couple of years ago and used a chart online for the type of tree and our zip code to estimate the age, and it calculated it to be approximately 200 years old!

I just found out that "Storm Warning" won an Award of Excellence at the Kingsport Art Guild juried Appalachian Art Show this weekend. It feels good to be recognized when you put so much time and effort into creating something from the heart.

Pretty excited to find out that my colored pencil drawing, "Storm Warning", was accepted into the juried fine arts Appalachian Art Show in Kingsport, TN. The show runs through May 20th at the Kingsport Renaissance Center. Fingers crossed this piece finds a new home during the show.

Check out River flying across the top of the dog walk at the All American Dog Sports NADAC Agility trial this past October! She is having so much fun 🙂 These are two of my April events. Hope to see some of you out there playing with your dogs 🙂

Now, if I can just figure out how to find people 😆 ! I'm not having much luck with the search feature.

This are probably my two favorite pieces. Which do you like best? Duke is painted in acrylics and is framed inside an antique leather horse collar with hames. It is available for purchase. "Lil Blue" is an acrylic painting on 12x24" canvas with handmade barnwood frame.

Throwback to 2017. I wanted to experiment with a monochromatic palette on the horse. I did an acrylic pour for the background. It's big - 12x24" not including the frame. It's available for purchase at the Southwest Virginia Cultural Center & Marketplace in Abingdon, VA.

Some samples from NADM's March Barn Hunt trial. I'll post more samples as I edit. A really BIG CONGRATULATIONS 🐀🍀⭐️to Brenna who earned her RATCHX100 on Friday!! That title requires 1,000 qualifying runs in the Master Level. Brenna is only the 3rd dog in the entire country to achieve this award.

We added a raised garden bed last year. I had painted the other 3 with simple, colorful flowers, so it was time to paint the 4th one. Daisy sat down in between me and the wall, telling me it was time to put down the brush and take her for a walk! Just trying to bring a little fun art into my yard.

Finished sunflower. This is an 8x10" acrylic painting, and it's available for purchase - $125 plus tax/shipping. If this has brightened your day, please share with your friends and like/follow my page. I'm new to Bluesky and am excited to share my art with you.

010

Shamrock Studios @shamrockstudios.bsky.social · 05/03/2025

Yep, another sunflower. I've got one portrait in the works, but I can't share pictures of that yet. I will go back to portraits soon, but for right now, I'm enjoying "just painting" and not worrying about whether the colors or the markings are correct, which is vital when doing a portrait.

000

Shamrock Studios @shamrockstudios.bsky.social · 04/03/2025

I am still trying to figure out how to edit the post, but both sunflowers have been claimed!

I don't usually paint subjects other than animals, but I felt that these sunflowers would be paintings of hope in difficult times. These are both TinyArts (3x4" mini canvas with display easel). $35 each plus tax/shipping. Let me know if you want one!

This is a 6x6" acrylic painting of Cosmo. Cosmo is a Lowchen, which means "Little Lion" in German. Cosmo is a little guy with a big heart! If you'd like to have your pet's portrait painted, let me know! I'd love to work with you. See my website for samples of my work, along with prices and sizes.

I'm going to give Bluesky a try! Here is a painting I did on a 12x12 wooden panel last year. I entered it in the Preakness Stakes art contest and it made it to the top 10!
