It's unknown as of yet. There's only speculation. He went on threatening rants about the "Islamization of Europe", but also against Germany's reduction in refugee acceptance, among many other possible reasons. We probably won't learn much more right away.

Our minimum wage is over $20/hr and the QSR sector only keeps growing (over 8% per year), including new small businesses. In my region the only thing keeping the rate that low is predatory rent pricing. If it's a rapid time-frame you're worried about, feel free to lobby for a gradual increase.

McDonalds Australia installed kiosks back in 2017. The number of workers didn't decrease, they just refocused from counter to kitchen and deliveries. Prices have only increased in line with inflation and we still have the Dollar Menu.

This is a crime that almost never results in a jail sentence in the first place, unless the crime was committed alongside a violent one. Typical way most people for for those crimes is to pay the debt and some fines, which he's done.
