Holy shit I'm so angry. Some dipshit coloniser ass Russian asshole made this post on the r/Armenia subreddit and there's genuinely SO many layers to it that it would take like a 30 post thread to go through everything genuinely

The same setting as shown in the screenshot in the post I'm quoting. But its been entirely reworded. Now the name of the setting is "Allow AI Content" and the description text under it says "When on, music labeled with the AI badge will be playable. To prevent AI labeled music from playing, switch this off. (Tracks will appear grayed out.)"

Have added a bunch of new pins to my collection

Tidal sent out an email about their stance on AI music. With the shitshow that is the state of AI on Spotify, this was nice to see.

An email from Tidal titled "Our stance on AI-generated music". Below is the full text of the email, although there's two screenshots attached to this post because I couldn't fit the full email in one screenshot.

"Hi,
AI music generation tools are changing how music is created and distributed. As this technology evolves, Tidal is introducing platform standards to protect artists, their craft, and inform listeners.

Here are the highlights of our new AI Policy:

* Tidal will identify and tag AI-generated music in our app. Listeners will see an "AI" badge next to music we detect as wholly AI-generated.
* Tidal will not tolerate AI-generated music that impersonates an artist or group, or that facilitates fraudulent activity. We're implementing automatic tools to remove these releases immediately and on an ongoing basis.
* Tidal will not allow music that is 100% AI-generated to be monetized. No royalties will go to such releases, nor will AI-generated uploads be eligible for direct-to-fan sales.
* We will expand these policies to music that is substantially AI-generated when AI detection technology is sufficiently reliable to do so.

You'll start seeing these changes from July 15."

so while editing I always leave markers for myself for scenes that would make a good clip for socials. and usually i just have one, maybe two markers by the end of the edit for each episode. This is only half way through Force of Extinction part 2.
