Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning. Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

Alex Pretti was a 37‑year‑old ICU nurse who cared for people as his job and as his calling. He was a U.S. citizen with no serious criminal history, not a terrorist, and now he’s dead after being shot by an ICE agent. He wasn’t a terrorist. The terrorist is the one who pulled the trigger.
