A heavy flamer sentinel made using the bits of the monopose penitent engine. A fairly dark scheme, I'm pretty happy woth how the green flames and the highlights on the red panels came out.

Meanwhile, the nobles themselves all appear to be flawed shells, unable to change or grow and obsessed with various passions from life. They also all seem to have false memories of what they were before biotransference, raising the taboo question of if they are just simulacra all the way down.

Trazyn the Infinite, an overlord and "historian" who spends his eternity collecting interesting objects and people from the galaxy to store and display in his museum-world. Utterly, blindingly arrogant and selfish, he does however have a sense of humour. One member of the old man yaoi pair.

Orikan the Diviner, Old Man Yaoi member the second. An astromancer (astrologer) who is so immensely arrogant that he will use his closely guarded secret of limited time travel to go back in time and change events whenever an unforseen circumstance causes his prophecies to be wrong.

Nemesor Zandrekh and his bodyguard/carer Varguard Oberon. Zandrekh got some serious mental damage during the Great Sleep, and now believes that he's still flesh and blood, fighting old necrontyr civil wars. As such he treats "lesser races" with the same honour due to fellow necrons, and is only kept from being usurped by his military genius and very loyal butler.

They're so shitass-scared of the "flayer curse" that they exterminate any necrons who suffer from it because not-having-meat-dysphoria is contagious. Also there's the other group who decided that if they don't get to be alive, no-one should, and kill everything down to bacteria.

Necron Flayed One. Imagine waking up not being able to breathe, to feel, to do anything except serve the lords who sold your entire race's souls for this cursed immortality. It's no wonder many of them start trying to get some meat on their bones. It may literally be a curse from a god they killed, or a computer virus, or just contagious madness. Accounts vary but they're always hated and feared by "normal" necrons.

Necron Scorpekh Destroyers. The Destroyer Cult is basically the opposite, coping with the change by developing an absolute hatred for everything. They deliberately modify their bodies into their conceptions of perfect killing machines, something that's seen as base and disgusting by necron lords who cling to the appearance they believe they had in life.

A squad of 20+ militiamen in navy trousers, black shirts, red trim, and some very silly hats.

They're made from WGA Bulldogs bodies with Les Grognards heads, plus some extra bits I had lying around. I particularly like the guy with a radio dish on his hat for the vox (the regular backpack antennas wouldn't stick up over the hat, so I had to improvise).

A bunch of chaos-tainted militia, made from skitarii and various wargames atlantic kits. Their vexilias are:
- A genestealer cultist icon with an old chaos skull-on-spike bit instead of the tyranid symbol
- A velatari vexilia topper, reversed with a demon skull and severed hands attached
- Veletari vexilia pole, with an impaled arm replacing the topper
- A large demon skull with a biomechanical tail coming from its back

Like this is the game that I will point to whenever someone says "we shouldn't have asset libraries, everything should be made from scratch" because it is a truly transcendent piece of work made from generic "asset-flip" parts and tropes taken from other media. Better than the sum of its parts!

I LOVE PROBLEMATIC DYSFUNCTIONAL PARTY MEMBERS IN RPGS! (I gotta recommend Wrath of the Righteous, it turns out that "we're trying to fight back against an invading army of literal demons" is a great excuse for overlooking some... indiscretions... on the part of your companions and allies.)

Durance from Pillars of Eternity. He's like if Rasputin could cast magic

Heinrix from Rogue Trader. An absolute gentleman who you first meet torturing someone, and whose home-base dialogue options include the ability for him to get three of your other party members captured and executed by the inquisition because you tire of them.

Wenduag, also from Wrath of the Righteous. First couple hours spoilers, but she's introduced alongside a goodie-two-shoes companion and she's absolutely right when she says you should stab him in the back and take her. GOD I love Wrath of the Righteous

Doing my first real experimenting with OSL and heat effects:

A phykonite vedette smoke-stack, painted in blue and bronze, with some heavy red glow effects in the recesses and black scorch marks around the edges.

The same model, but now with extra lighting. Kinda looks a little washed out, unfortunately.

You should be able to make every assassin from No More Heroes with the basic Wych kit imo

Rank 10: Death Metal. The oversized impractical sword and 'this is my relaxing by the pool outfit' would be perfect for a senior wych showing off their power

No. 4: Harvey Moisewitz Volodarsky. Just an appropriate level of flamboyance for murdering people on-stage

No. 7: Destroyman. GW has tried to stay away from traditional superhero aesthetics, but I feel like a wych on the homunculus-creatine would look good. Very showy!

No. 2: Bad Girl. If wyches can't go around in frilly skirts with blood-soaked [sports implement of choice] then what are we doing here???

Yeah! When I was putting together my tech-thralls for a 'counts-as-skitarii' list, I gave one a Skitarii head, with the idea that he was the leader, a mortally wounded skit jammed onto a spare meat-body as a reliable brain to lead the group of lesser servitors around.
