Sure! Besides, I do not use this site beyond sharing my work so it is better to catch me on X or Discord. Poke me with an @ over there when you send me the message because I have my DMs restricted so I can authorize you and all that. 🙏

ShadowMeowth @shadowmeowth.bsky.social · 24/03/2025

I could send it to you by post, if I print it myself—I have done that before for sending gift prints to a friend. I would have to charge you for the fee but it is not that much, maybe 10-15€? If it is international post and all that. I would need your direction though. :'D

ShadowMeowth @shadowmeowth.bsky.social · 24/03/2025

I have never sold once a print because I have zero demand for commissions—I tried, but I guess my work is not to the audience's taste—but, I would gladly sell them. I do not have the monetary situation to refuse. :'D

ShadowMeowth @shadowmeowth.bsky.social · 24/03/2025

Normally I do not share my linearts, but I spent days and sweat and blood and suffering just working on this—on Hades's transformed form to be precise—and since the print is rather dark and the inking does not stand out, if you will allow me the flex, I share it here. 🫠

If I were to explain this thing, we would be here for a while because the list of receipts is long. It is exhaustive lorediving and theorycrafting work blerghed in visuals, as usual. But I leave the summary of it I wrote on Reddit. 🫠

Thank you so much! I drew this one not long after EnW release. I draw characters as a way to understanding them and Hades is such a complex and fascinating character whose story, by the by, is far from over, DT was not exactly subtle about that—but I guess, I try to portray the man, not the mask. :D

☀️ Sunset ♊ You may call this a form of self-indulgent theorycrafting regarding the end of this new story arc, or alternatively Meowth's brain blerghing excess brainrot. Both are technically correct. 🫠 #MyArt #FFXIV #FFXIVART #FF14 #emetwol

Thank you so much! I suck at poetry, my field is much more poetic prose, but Hades is narratively tied to William Shakespeare so, I Tried(tm). English is not my native language, so it makes it even worse. :'D Truth is I had to blergh my post-Dawntrail speculation, and I make things complicated. xD

The sundered in contrast would be Ultima's 'progeny' using Hydaelyn as proxy. In that aspect, she would have been the creator of /current/ mankind. Or one race, if we understand the Ancients and the sundered as two different races that as of now, one of them has been effectively led to extinction.

110

ShadowMeowth @shadowmeowth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

So if you think of him as the will of the star, it is quite possible Zodiark /is/ Etheirys, or Etheirys's consciousness. Maybe he merged with the star in very ancient times. And since the Ancients revere Etheirys itself, their spirituality towards the Land may well be about Zodiark. +

110

ShadowMeowth @shadowmeowth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

Because he represents the union between Light and Dark, between Sun and Moon, Zodiark is associated with solar eclipses, which is one way you can read XIV's 'meteor' icon. Snakes are also chthonic symbols in Greek mythology, related to the earth and the Underworld in particular. +

110

ShadowMeowth @shadowmeowth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

But in Ivalician lore, Zodiark is represented by the Sun and the Moon because he embodies the solar year and the lunar months. He is both Light and Dark. He is also Ivalice's version of Phoenix, as he represents the old year dying and the new year's (re)birth in an eternal cycle of life and death. +

121

ShadowMeowth @shadowmeowth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024

No—Hydaelyn is not any real god of Light. Nor is Ultima technically speaking, as she is merely the authority of the sphere of Holy/Light in Ivalician lore, but she would definitely hold sway over a lesser entity like Hydaelyn. The real Zodiark, Ivalician Zodiark that is, is the authority of Dark. +

Normally I do not share other stuff than my art, but I am a long-time lorediver. And I needed to blergh some of this brainmelt I have found myself in since DT release. About Azem and Emet-Selch, and how everything we (think we) know is a lie. 🧵(1/2) #FFXIV #FF14 #Azem #EmetSelch

ShadowMeowth @shadowmeowth.bsky.social · 08/12/2024

Was it readable enough? I have the habit of using handwriting fonts to represent different character voices, and sometimes can be difficult to read for others as it has been brought to my attention before. If not, I can provide the text on its own. :'D
