I bet her former colleagues do talk about her and this book a lot but I don't think that proves she has incredible insights or anything.

One thing I don't get is people saying Lanterns is embarrassed to do GL stuff. It's sparing and grounded but there's not bathos to undercut any of its actual use in a way I'd think meant embarrassment

What statistics would possibly require hacking Services Australia to find out?

010

Shadowmaster13 🇦🇺 @shadowmaster13.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

It's fascinating because you hear people who saw actual superstars growing up talk about it and there's no doubt. The self delusion is so strong

Less problematic than the time Ed Sheeran covered the chorus on radio and left the pronouns so it became straight which is more relevant than I ever thought it could be

Lanterns doing such a good job with the Hal/John dynamic it has made me kinda bummed we won't get 5 more seasons where they're actually partners who trust each other. Considering idgaf about Hal before great work

People gotta eat. Actors of colour who make it talk plenty about having to take roles like these

Shadowmaster13 🇦🇺 @shadowmaster13.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

The villains all having white hoods is also a nice touch

000

Shadowmaster13 🇦🇺 @shadowmaster13.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

Cancel Christmas is deliciously cheesy as a villain line, modern movies would be scared to be so ungrounded

100

Shadowmaster13 🇦🇺 @shadowmaster13.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

They even incorporate the quarterstaff fighting which a lot of versions I've seen cut entirely.

For podcast reasons watching Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. There's not been a Robin Hood since that plays it this straight (even with the American accent)

Why is it that reversing Hegseth's behaviour is political but him doing this isn't politicisation?

000

Shadowmaster13 🇦🇺 @shadowmaster13.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

The book getting stabbed when I knew it was an archive upset me. Like what if there's not a second copy?

010

They could also pay their adjuncts and TAs properly maybe?

Eggs are a huge limitation for me personally

I used to wait on UF series until I knew if the series was romance style or same protagonist because I've never had the patience

I remember people saying that it paired characters named Steve and Bucky and knew instantly it had ripped a lot of fanfic

Big fan of how it (seemingly accidentally) has caused people avoiding NYC tax to crawl out of the woodwork unaware complaining about the paperwork exposed they've been doing tax fraud

Behind the Bastards had a series about the ai cults where Robert theorises a version of this

Even after there was a mistake with the early polio vaccine that gave a bunch of kids polio, parents lined up to get theirs vaccinated. It saddens me so much that we no longer understand what a miracle these vaccines were/are

I always thought the temperance league took it a bit far but my feelings about sports betting are very Carrie A Nation

Which I feel like makes the Nazi tattoo more concerning

010

The way people looked past all the massive red flags so we could get to this point. Like no being a "likable" guy who can effectively seem blue collar is not worth looking past any of that.

Sadly timezones make the live version impossible for me but gladly the recorded version exists

I find this vastly more interesting than all the I would x. Why don't they just y stuff about Omelas

The tetanus vaccine works faster than the disease

010

Shadowmaster13 🇦🇺 @shadowmaster13.bsky.social · 26/05/2026

My biggest issue with this stuff is that 90% of the time these adults are vaccinated and so can not suffer the consequences the way their children can

Boat chase and on foot in the same location!

010

We already have Thursday games basically every week now, we can't stick to one game on Friday night?

000

Shadowmaster13 🇦🇺 @shadowmaster13.bsky.social · 01/05/2026

The commentary talking this up as the biggest rivalry in the game and we can't even be clear from a Freo v Western Bulldogs game on a Friday night?

100

Shadowmaster13 🇦🇺 @shadowmaster13.bsky.social · 01/05/2026

I did not realise the Friday night double headers was going to also include the Showdown. AFL what are you doing?

I loved her show and book for the basics of keep what you like and store it well. And it's okay to get rid of anything else

The best part of being on a train is when you go through a level crossing and see all the cars waiting for you to pass through

Magical intolerance and allergies. Yeah that one antibiotic cantrip gives me hives

020

Shadowmaster13 🇦🇺 @shadowmaster13.bsky.social · 03/04/2026

Genuinely pleased to hear the commentary including former players saying going off the ground is the right thing to do. Last time I watched a game on TV was awhile ago and it was much more 'tough it out' #AFLCrowsFreo

Neither cover has a full face but the blank faces are so much weirder

Bank transfer for rent went out Wednesday. Same as last fortnight. Automated email saying I'm behind in rent arrived today. Can't even hell at a bank until Tuesday.

When men like a show the media digs into why the show is so good. When women like a show we ask why

080

Shadowmaster13 🇦🇺 @shadowmaster13.bsky.social · 23/02/2026

I'm not saying I think he's freaky friday-ed with his kid but the desire to party and constant look of how did I get here aren't evidence against it

030

Shadowmaster13 🇦🇺 @shadowmaster13.bsky.social · 11/02/2026

The show was pushed up so even if we're real nice about the printing being a timing issue; if they were gonna do tie in covers they should be hitting about now and still nothing

000

I genuinely did think the powerpuff girls was set in Queensland until I was like a teenager

050

Shadowmaster13 🇦🇺 @shadowmaster13.bsky.social · 28/01/2026

Bad romance writing is worse than no romance (imo) and a lot of people who already didn't really like romance to begin with take complaints about the former as an excuse to deliver the latter instead of just doing better

070

Shadowmaster13 🇦🇺 @shadowmaster13.bsky.social · 16/01/2026

I remember hearing of ICE stealing passports or documents at one point so I don't think that would help much anyway

000

Great cover design. I instantly know exactly what kind of book this is and that I do not want to read it

0110

Shadowmaster13 🇦🇺 @shadowmaster13.bsky.social · 14/01/2026

There's something about it that feels like waking up I remember this sort of thing happening but I hadn't noticed how long it had been until it happened again

I've forgotten which test but an England player reviewed and also walked. Still confused why bother in that situation
