Given that Bujir is frankly a dirtbag, it’s pretty likely he learned that from Baidar’s grandfather, so there’s every chance they wouldn’t have gotten along at all.

I actually don’t know much about Baidar’s grandmother, save she died before he left the Steppe. His grandfather, the previous khan of the Oroq, was killed during a purbol hunt a few months before he was born, making his father Bujir khan before he was quite ready to be.

In my AU, Baidar and Venat sparred again in Elpis, and by accident she wounded him. She healed him, but it left a scar. Since then she has traced the scar, as well as others Baidar has. A reminder of how scarred he is in general, and how she doesn’t want him hurt anymore.
