Black and white photo of a man, bare, in a chai, head turned and resting on his hand a soft look upon his face, facing curtain covered window, white with light as shadows and light from the folds of the curtain are cast upon his body.

Danger umbrella Weathering the storms of life Lest blown inside out #haiku #poetry #philosophy #BlueSkyArtShow #photography #art #AlphabetChallenge #WeekDforDanger Kandahar, Afghanistan

16:9 ish frame of a worn, weathered concrete barrier, rebar loops at the top for placing it. On it, from left to right are spray-painted: in black stencil “SECTOR”, just below, staggered-right in blue stencil style different from the first “RAGG”, free-hand in black and taking about the same size as the previous two stencils combined is a numeral four “4” and finally a green stenciled icon for a man, that is, a circle head, rectangle body, blocky appendages with one arm raised holding an umbrella. Directly above the umbrella, in the same stencil-style, is a bomb pointed downward and plume trailing behind, above it indicating it’s falling motion.

Woke to winter wonders And the snow capped birdbath helps me slip into the #alphabetchallenge #WeekBforBB ☺️ The birds were busy at the feeder and the chirps and flutter of their wings made this quiet morning so alive! 🐦🪶 #photography #photo #art #mobilephotography

The last pic I took in 2024 is quite #poetic, #philosophy, #photography. Don’t forget to turn around and look behind, you never know how you’ll see things once you’re past them. I happened to look back and nature served up the warm colors and dark background in #ColonialWilliamsburg. No edits

The Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, USA courthouse warmly lit from a setting sun with dark storm clouds filling the sky in contrast.

Reminiscent of optical illusions of false walls, I just loved how this view in #Rome #Roma #Italy #Italia snuck up on me with the warmth of colors and peek of greenery, with the correct angle. #WeekAforAngles #AlphabetChallenge #photography #streetphotography #urbanphotography #architecture

Many decades ago with a #pointandshoot jpeg format, maybe my first digital camera. I ran out of room for tags after a long winded #poem add-on below, so here it is again for the #alphabetchallenge #WeekZforZoom #photography #selfportrait #photo #phtographer #candlelight #eye #art?

…,(Closeup), a frame filled, in the top 2/3 of the frame and set to the right half, The photographer’s eye, blue, a single point of light on the bottom edge of the pupil from a wide, uneven-edged cylinder of a candle, aglow from the sunken flame. The remaining portion of the frame, 1/4 in the top left is dark, and its shadows wrap around the side of a man’s face, (Closeup),…

Alight, alight to the world with delight Anew, anew see the world with a view which is Free no more binding it is truth we’re now finding Light your way with a courage No dismay Not discouraged A path blazed that will build you Walls now razed Shall reveal… …You… I see

I resolve to post work that I have made but wish were better. heavy handed editing by a novice, shot in jpeg and not raw… it is ok, I have seen and I want to share.. and I also want to grow. I can be vulnerable. Art is my soul and that’s difficult to offer others. I am resolved.

This sign caught my eye as a sad but perhaps poetic or ironic state of health; mental health on the forefront of my mind as I saw this. 988: US suicide & crisis lifeline #photography #streetphotography #photo #mentalhealth #urbex #urbexphotography #photographer

“Clinic” sign that is dilapidated and on the ground, worn from the environment, with overgrown grass. Muted color tone style.

Vacationing in Rome, I was up early and headed to see Trevi Fountain without the crowds. Along the way, I found reflections of Fibonacci and a lone traveler braving the early hour. #photography #streetphotography #photo #blackandwhite #bnwphotography #Fibonacci #italy #italia #rome #roma

Once upon a time Were modest steeds of steel Riders no more astride Dust gathers on their wheel -gravel dust settled on bicycles in Kandahar province, a time not well remembered, but for the people there; and not- #alphabetchallenge #WeekWforWhite #photography #streetphotography #bicycles

Bicycles at a bike rack on gravel. The bikes are covered completely in white gravel dust, unridden for quite some time.

Often, wandering through life, the orientation of things, colors, light, just catch your attention. Visiting Rome, one is immersed in history around every turn, with every step. This moment just caught my eye. #photography #streetphotography #statues #italia #roma #italy #rome #travel

TW: dark poem skip to pic ——————- This metal shroom Viewed from below an eerie bloom, unnatural glow. Mycelium feed to the top. Spores, we see them start to drop At first a few, slow, faster, more…or.. as it dawns, oh no, the horror #alphabetchallenge #WeekUforUnder #photography #poetry

Seattle needle viewed from below, alight and white against a stark black sky. Underside of the platform on top has fins, and resembles a capped mushroom.
