B allows you to have more developed character if you're planning for a soul bound or otherwise kept/signature weapon. The wood, stones, metal, carvings, handle wrap. There's a lot to play with and you can be very descriptive and truly treat them as part of the character.

When I realized I wanted to create a Sona I was originally going to just do the Bear but worried that it wouldn't be memorable. As much as Shade is me, he's also my brand. I had the coloration for the hair picked out for a while but needed a base for color that pooped it.
