I wish it were so! But its not that simple. Look at the constitution, you ALL refuse to address it. Look up the X Case in Ireland. Our constitution said a raped pregnant child could not travel to get an abortion. National crisis. National solution, almost overnight. But too late for X.

In many ways yes, in other ways no....... I mean this genuinely, but it didnt occur to you, a liberal, educated person that I might be outside the USA (95.5% are) so where does everyone else in the USA sit? Our fear is, as always, USA acting independently without regard for anyone else.

Accepted! But the original article was from Ireland too!.. I had a staff member who was spat at and slapped by a homeless person, I put up bostwick gates to protect our staff in the full knowledge it removed a sleeping place. Its the law, I had to act. Life is always a balance

For the avoidance of doubt, I agree homeless people need and deserve help, I'm just tired of people throwing nastiness against employers and building owners obeying the law and protecting staff. I can't be selective is how I risk assess my own staff and leave one section blank

Once this risk manifests itself, in concept or reality, the employer must act. Its not malice that creates spikes and Borthwick gates. Its care for staff, in so far as theyre complying with the law.

I'm not, you are. I'm not talking about laws protecting homeless people. Every employer has to perform a safety assessment of all risks points. They have key holders, window cleaners, early and late staff. Rough sleepers are, sadly, not the calmest people. They are a risk so staff.....

Unlike any sensible Republic the USA does not refresh its constitution. Something like Roe v Wade, in any other country, including my own (The X Case) is immediately dealt with by addressing the issue found in the constitution. So the make up of the supreme court never gets this point..

I had to have this chat with my son, over an altercation with a male, who was trying to rob my wife. I made a lot of noise and fuss which like the example.. works.. He felt I was too loud and aggressive. Obviously 12 year olds don't like attention drawn to them, but we should never be afraid!

Oh from a UK perspective I don't disagree, you must do that! But equally, our youngsters deserve a leadership that is focused on them, their future. The UK appeared surprised that the Brexit process was driven by & for EU members, especially us in Ireland. Any new applicant process the same.
