People, if you could stop making all the app icons white on black, that'd be great.

A few weeks into writing Go: it's a workhorse that lets you get things done *fast*, but boy those err checks are everywhere. 😅

Interesting that GitHub is advertising using *my* code to train *their* models as a "feature".

It’s wild that the word “AI” can be slapped on to literally anything these days. Even a standing desk.

Interesting, Codex has a personality now? I don't think I've had agentic tools "hey ask" me clarifications before.

The first four chapters have been updated and so far it's been smooth sailing. It's fun to revisit something you wrote four years ago, and bring it up to date.

Google Search Console is now flagging 5xx errors as well. And this is on a *static* site. I wonder if it’s time to move away from Netlify for hosting static sites.

One of the best parts of living away from the city is the incredible night sky. 🌌 On clear nights, you can see thousands of stars, the Milky Way, planets like Jupiter and Saturn, and even small satellites! This photo isn’t the best quality, but you can still spot Jupiter (at the top!) and Orion.

I imported my November transactions into my Beancount-backed ledger yesterday and realized that this thing now holds data all the way back to January 2016! That's 8 years worth of personal financial history contained in ~40,000 lines of plaintext files, fully human-readable and SQL-queryable. 🎉

The first half-marathon is officially in the books! 🏃🏻‍♂️ The weather was freezing cold but that made the mountains look all the more crisp. 🏔️ Next up: working on shaving minutes off that 21km time!
