Amazing find at the Saranac Lake library book sale: "Oriental Cooking in the Adirondacks" by Sudjai Ngamhuy Bentley in 1992. I was a 7 yr old mixed Asian kid in the area in 1992, and I totally empathize with her foreword, you just couldn't get the ingredients.
Book cover pictured, "Oriental Cooking in the Adirondacks" with a small illustration of a bear eating out of a wokThe about the author page from "Oriental Cooking in the Adirondacks" describes the author's journey from Thailand to the Adirondacks in the 70sThe foreword from Oriental Cooking in the Adirondacks, describing how Asian ingredients are hard to find and how Americans don't like fish sauce
