The voice of reason here: Diesel is often sold by weight on the global market because of temperature expansion. As diesel heats up, its volume increases, and as it cools down, it decreases. So it's sold by weight (i.e., tons) because mass stays the same.

I absolutely don't mean to downplay a huge problem in this country: we have outsourced 95+% of all of our medications, including antibiotics, to China and India. In the event of any kind of disruption in international trade, we are literally screwed. If that's coupled with an outbreak, we're dead.

I grew up in the Columbia area I went to the huge indoor Columbia Mall in the 1970s. I strolled the garden paths between communities, the skateboard parks & basketball courts in nooks. I saw so many concerts at the Merriweather Post Pavilion growing up. CSN&Y, Steppenwolf, Guess Who, The Band.

This is very true. If there were to be a fast mass outbreak, say in the milliona like COVID, there would be a lot of problems. But since we already have treatment available, we would be able to stop that outbreak quickly before it got that bad. If Red states pass on treatment, that's on them.
