That was a REALLY good match from Jordan Morris

Albert's current pace (0.68GC/90) would have him reach 27 total... BUT his pace since start of unbeaten run: 1.13GC/90 (8 in 637 mins)! Finishing out the year at that pace sees him at 32.6 GC. He's unlikely to sustain such a high rate, but 8 games isn't a small sample size. This year's got nuance

Sam Fromowitz @sfromo19.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Albert Rusnak now sits on 7g/12a all comps despite a massive slump in the middle of the season. His PB (2024 - 11g/19a) is 11 total GC away, with a max 13 --likely 12- games to play if (MASSIVE IF) Sounders make MLS Cup.

Last night, Cristian Roldan hit 5 goals in regular season play for the first time since 2021. 1 off his PB (2017, 19, 21). He's got 5g/5a; only 3 off his best regular season tally of 13 GC (2018). Unleashed.

Sam Fromowitz @sfromo19.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Seb Gomez already sits on 7(!) goal contribs for the first team this year. 2g/5a total (1g/1a in Leagues Cup) 784 minutes played 0.80 GC/90 He's always passed the eye test, and continues to show why you can't write him off. Absolutely earned his way off Slot 31 - even if injuries necessitated it.

Well, 3 weeks later the Sounders acquired Dejan Jovelic after extending Rusnak - essentially the same as a buyout and a Ruidiaz level piece. Since then: unbeaten in 6, 2-4-0 (10 pts) & outscoring opponents 11-7. In their prev 7 since the WC break, they went 0-1-6 (1 pt) getting outscored 5-16.

Exciting news. Never *want* to be in a situation where calling up a player from your second team is necessary, but injuries and MLS playing through INTL breaks necessitates such. Bronnik is as exciting a prospect at his position as anyone in the Sounders org in recent years.

Be vocal and support independent soccer journalism. It's the only way to show that these jobs matter.

Embarrassing by @seattletimes.com. Soccer grows in 2026 and will only continue to do so, esp. as the long term effects of USA-hosted '26 WC, '27 WC, '28 Olympics (& '28 Copa America participation?) come to bear. Sorry to Jayda Evans + co. Massive loss for the local community.

Frei had a save on a top bins Fredy Montero free kick in 2017 against the 'Caps that, for my money, was even better than 'The Save'. I want to say the commentators for that game may have said as much, but it's been almost a decade and can't totally remember the call.

MLS continuing to find ways to alienate fans. An MLS fan for well over a decade, I can hardly even decipher this. Imagine a newer fan trying to get invested in the playoffs.

Feel like the term MLS 3.0 has been used for over a decade. MLS 1.0 was the inception. MLS 2.0 was the DP rule. MLS 3.0 was TAM, YDP and U22 mechanisms. More "groundbreaking changes" require a new number at this point.

Sam Fromowitz @sfromo19.bsky.social · 28/07/2026

If you were to put a percentage to it, how much of it is strategy; he has the longest leash with the fans and is most endeared to their hearts and they know shit is bad, vs how much is, for lack of a better word, tonedeafness?
