Booted Eagle yesterday in Cornwall. A few front on and back views. Showing the 'landing lights' either side of the head, a diagnostic feature of both morphs of Booted Eagles. Europe's smallest eagle.

02:30am start with @stevewilson1706.bsky.social!! Epic, yet tense day started with the Booted Eagle being everywhere we weren't and everyone else seeing it. Then just when we thought all was lost & talked about leaving, in it flew to giving dream views. UK ✅ @birdguides.bsky.social

Litter picking is not all doom and gloom. Kingfishers for company and a hell of a sunrise were my payment. Plus free work out happy days ... the amount of litter still sucks though.

Litter picking on the Hogsmill LNR all done. Nice early clean up had its disadvantages though, glasses fogged up and picker froze shut. 🤣🤣

Dyslexia: If you see a person has made a typo (which 9/10 is normally a hilarious one) don't make fun of the person OR their sentence, just inform the person of their mistake so we can all move on with our lives. I can't tell you how often I have to reread my posts on socials. 👍

I think my next birding video will be from Greyton 🇿🇦 a place I hold dear to me heart. Birding there is next level and often there's not a soul in sight you have the birding all to yourself.

I obviously can't get the entrance and cup in the same shot so I recon this is view best? Webcams have little lights on them to I'll be able to see what's going on in the dark. Of cos I won't have it on all night just short bursts to see what's going on inside in low light.

Shaun Ferguson @sferguk.bsky.social · 28/08/2024

Swift box upgrade V2.0. I've taken my box down & planning to install 2 cameras inside. U can clearly see which side they used as the feathers have all been stuck down hard as nails. I guess with saliva, 2nd box untouched. Webcam cams will be installed as such. Can't bloody wait!!
