Halloween means All Saint's Wake time in #FFXIV.

A freaky patchwork bear is reaching out from a flaming portrait, partially obscured by smoke and sparks.

That was evil of them to make the task require something in Bozja I don't have access to, and thus force me to clear 40 floors of Palace of the Dead. But I got the Uolon mount, which looks like the love child of a Labubu and a thing from "Where the Wild Things Are." #FFXIV

I made a new Halloween character portrait. #FFXIV

An image of a Final Fantasy XIV character portrait, showing a male Hrothgar wearing a rather creepy animal skull mask with flaming horns. The only part of his face that is visible is a fang-toothed grin as he leans in a sort of "welcome" gesture. The picture is framed with smoke and sparks from the flames lining the bottom of the frame.

Gibiate. The character designs are by Yoshitaka Amano of Final Fantasy fame, but his style does NOT WORK for this at all. There's really terrible CGI monsters, the plot goes off the rails towards the end, and character development is done via "interviews" instead of through story.

The Skills for the Illustrious bow weapon, Murcielago:

The mere existence of this Gen AI Content disclosure means the game has used Gen-AI in development/advertising in some way.

New #LevelUp #a5e book came! It covers various travel and andventure hazards and also a lot of magic items. My personal favorite is the Humour Realignment Transfiguration treatment, or HRT. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 #TTRPG

A picture of a page from the Trials & Treasures book from the Level Up TTRPG rule system. A finger tip can be seen pointing at an entry that reads "Humour Realignment Transfiguration" which says it's a common wonder item for around 30 gold pieces.

The summary of its effects are that it is a continuous treatment designed to help a humanoid obtain their desired and most comfortable form over time without resorting to shapechanging magics, which can be dispelled. It takes about six months to work and ceasing treatment will result in reverting to the previous form in about the same time frame.

It comes in a three month supply!

Unfortunately Pete Sessions is my congressman, and it's because my area has been gerrymandered to hell. I live in the "jagged claw" on the lower left part of this district that stabs into the Austin Metro area, forced to vote with people 200 miles away in ultra rural Texas near Louisiana.

A map of Texas Congressional District 17, which depicts a large, blocky highlighted area and a very small, jaggedy claw on the bottom left side of the area. There is a distance scale showing that this area stretches nealy 200 miles wide.

The small, irregular claw shape stabs into various parts of the northeast Austin Texas metro area. A clear instance of gerrymandering as said Austin-area residents are included with a vast swath of rural Texas reaching nearly to the Louisiana border.
