After years of bending over backwards to capitalism and the algorithm, I managed to start caring less and draw for my own pleasure again. And I think it looks better 🥹 It makes me feel better at least

Picture of my a4 sketchbook filled with doodles made with a neon pink coloured pencil, which is only perceivable in daylight. They all have catchy little phrases next to them, and are made with linocutting in mind. My three favourite are a crying tiger saying « I care therefore I fight » ; a chocolate chip cookie where all the chips are eyes saying « no cookie, yes privacy » ; and a little Baphomet goat with a dice 12 on its forehead instead of the pentagram, saying « have you heard of our lord and saviour D&D ? »

Honorable mention is a snake cooling around a blank sign, with several options for ominous positivity quotes.

I’m making my own gouache 👀

The picture shows a little clump of neon pink pigment loose on a glass slate, as well as two palette knives and a measuring spoon.

By having added gum arabic, distilled water, vegetable glycerine, some honey and a few drops of clove oil, I made the powdered pigment into a paste. If I stopped here, I’d have neon pink watercolour, but I’m be adding chalk for opacity

I have finally finished mixing everything, and placed my paint into a ceramic palette I’ll be keeping airtight

Fēi (they/them), my Vampire the Mascarade OC, dancing at a vampire ball with a tall dark stranger. We’ve made it be Bridgerton but vampires, and in that world, Fēi is a soft looking ingénu, appearing to only want to dance at a ball like Cinderella. Their expression is one of pure joy, while their dance partner, a masked Nosferatu, is a little more sinister, a little more knowing. He knows how those games are played, while Fēi is only here to be dazzled away

Yo I’ve been on a roll

Work in progress : three panel scene of an angel falling from the sky.

Since it’s a WIP still, it’s mostly sketched lines and value work, and the colours are pretty rough still. But they are getting quite yummy 😌
