Anyone got recommendations on TTRPG actual plays? I want classic fantasy, but I'm not a big fan of players whose default mode is "everything is jokes"

Why isn't City a favored terrain you can choose as a Ranger? 🧐

Fellow Pokemon nerds, what are you hoping will be the inspiration for Gen 10's region? Not a prediction, but an "if it was up to me". I'd want Canada, or even more specifically Québec. (I'm biased I'm from there)

Just found out about the term "gerontocracy". What a brilliant way to say "we assume politicians are qualified because they're old" 🧐

I've been playing a lot of Civ 6 on my phone and I can't believe how easy diplomatic victory is, even when it's not my main goal. I think I'm gonna have to disable it, it just feels uneventful 🫤

Anyone got recommendations for well-written gay smut? I want to write some of my own (or at least put adult themes into my personal projects) but I've generally never had a proper example of it being done well on the page.

The worst part about winter is how much time is wasted on putting on and taking off winter gear. I rarely have the time to make myself a lunch I can bring to work, so i end up walking back and forth a total of 4 times a day, which becomes soul-numbing in the cold months.

I love how DataDex lets you obscure the pictures of Pokemon. I've removed all the ones who break my design rules and I forget that they exist because of it 😅

One of my goals this year is to be less reasonable. Harsher on people who make my day worse. "Well you can't be mad at them, they didn't know" if they're the umpteenth person whose excuse is that "they didn't know" at some point I'm allowed to be pissed.

I really envy people who can just set their minds to a thing & do it. My particular brand of neurodivergence doesn't allow me to do that. It's been my biggest struggle - I'd be a lot further along in my career and a lot more secure if not for the way my brain works. Might be time to seek treatment.

I'd been meaning to watch Maid for a while and I honestly had to stop before I could finish the first episode. The visceral feeling of anxiety was just too much. I could watch a thousand horror movies and I wouldn't experience that level of fear.

Not to show my privilege or anything, but it's wild the amount of disrespect and exclusion we have to accept as vegans. If we mind our business, we catch strays. If we're vocal, we get all the vitriol.

I had an incredibly positive experience playing Assassin's Creed Unity back in the day. I playtested it for 7 days straight (this was before I was a Ubi employee). I loved the experience overall but my favorite things were customizing the colors of my outfit & choosing the type of weapon I prefer.

Subtitles aren’t just for deaf or hard of hearing players. They’re important for players in loud environments (who can’t use headphones), non-native speakers who rely on text to follow dialogue, and many neurodivergent folks who struggle to focus or process audio quickly. Just to mention few.

Free trials should give you an option to not put in a payment method, which would mean your shit automatically gets shut down when the free trial ends. The whole point is that idk if I wanna spend money on this thing. Plus it's predatory to automatically start charging at the end of the trial.

I'm so tired that half the jokes I see coming from men online can be boiled down to "being gay is embarrassing" as a punchline. This includes the straight men who "act sus" for a laugh. Explain the joke to me without making it sound like you believe queer people can't be taken seriously.

Arcane was excellent, beautiful, exciting, everything you want an adaptation to be. Were there moments that didn't feel as strong? Sure. But as a video game writer, if you told me something I worked on would get this level of storytelling in the future, I'd be shaking with excitement.

You don't need to submit to FOMO. It's fine to not own/complete every piece of a thing. All you need to do is have fun, and you're not even obligated to do THAT. "OMG that skin is 250$ that's evil!" Don't buy it. No one is forcing you. You are just as cool without the skin. I promise.

Wondering if I should start streaming League of Legends again, or if I should just record myself and make compilations and clips... Either way I'm awful at interacting with viewers and my face is focused dead eyes 95% of the time, so idk if one is more appealing than the other.

I'm so tired of the "nooo don't play League of Legends!" shit. If people are curious about it following Arcane, let them try - you don't know if they'll enjoy it. This game has a huge & consistent playerbase, including me. It's cool. I want more people to play so I have more friends to play with.

Two of my biggest fandoms, Pokémon and Drag Race, have a huge leaks issue. Why is it so normalized to spoil things that haven't even been officially announced yet? I understand that some people want it, but these fandoms literally shove leaks in your face as if everyone wants to see them.

Rainbow Six Siege Lore Fact #6: Sens is a consummate soldier & model Operator, but their specialty is literally in their codename. Their tactics on the field revolve mostly around messing with the enemy's senses, using tools & environment to disrupt & misdirect. Confused enemies are easier to kill!

Rainbow Six Siege Lore Fact #5: Most know Osa only as a rude engineer, but aside from being Nighthaven's R&D Director, she is also a fully trained Nighthaven field Agent, and Kali's closest friend. Mess with Kali, you mess with Osa. Mess with Osa, you mess with Kali. That includes transphobia 😉
