Thank you! I am obsessed, just finished my 2nd pair. The best part: I can (briefly) go outside in my Crocs wearing these and not feel the cold AT ALL! My regular socks can’t do that! 😄

As a chronic “non-finisher of things”, it feels so good to COMPLETE something! The second reiteration of the slipper-socks is now on my feet! Now I’ll challenge myself and write down the pattern as I work on the 3rd pair, so I can duplicate these lovelies exactly! #ADHD #crochet 🧶

In a world where grief bleeds through the seams of our hyperconnected lives, where minds fracture under invisible weight, where democracy withers in the shadow of rising authoritarians—joy is no longer luxury. It's insurrection.

Your words, as your dance, are so powerful! Thank you for what you do!

Crocheting a second pair of slipper socks, because fuck it’s cold! These look a little funny, but feel PERFECT on the foot. I continue to tweak my improvised pattern. I will end up with the most comfortable footwear mutants! #crochet #craft

A weird-looking woollen sock-boot-slipper laying on a grey background, next to a green cushion. The sock is a pretty mix of purple and blue colour, it features a ribbing on top, and a weirdly constructed heel that’s very comfy. The foot part of the sock looks too large and loose for the ribbing on top, which goes over 3 inches above the ankle.

Bonus points for these guns!

Me too! Last year in the winter and spring we had the longest stretch with no sunshine. I thought I was doing to die… I can tolerate SOME cold, but not no sunshine. 😟

54 days, 22 hours. I just had to look it up, this weather is just hostile!

Thank you! There are no “personal touches” on the pattern, because I made up this pattern on the fly, therefore it’s exclusively my personal creation! 😃 The weight of the yarn is super fine, but I tripled it up.

Craving coziness in my life, I crocheted myself some slipper-socks. The pattern is called “Wings”, because I winged it. I never learned how to #crochet a proper heel, so it’s my rendition of it. Now to find a darning needle…

A pair of purple woollen sock-like slippers against a grey couch cushion. They go a couple of inches above the ankle. There is some loose yarn visible at the top, because the ends are not woven in.

Oh gosh, what a pain… Hope it’s done properly once and for good, SOON!

Geezzzzus, this one is a pre-amble to a horror, right?

SevaRam @sevarammedit8s.bsky.social · 09/01/2026

As a Canadian, I’m watching this with horror and fear that this is a preview of what will be happening here if Conservatives with their current leader win the next election.

Thank you! I have a special bond with Baba Yaga, and Yaga was my nickname when I was a kid. I hated it at the time. As time passes, I grow into her more and more. I GET her now! 🤣🤣🤣 I’m glad you’re discovering her too!

So glad this amuses you! ❤️ Good thing about Baba Yaga and her house on the chicken foot is that the house could hop to anywhere she wanted it to go. So she could always sleep in her bed. Thank you for the cloud compliment, the one on the left looks a bit like a mushroom cloud (a total fluke).

I LOVE that scoring! From the top it looks like a giant cinnamon roll!

My latest #watercolour fiasco did not deter me, just no time (back to the grind). Spent a day learning clouds. Couldn’t resist turning the last one into “something”. Baba Yaga on vacation! #watercolor #painting #witch

A collage of watercolour paintings of clouds. Learning!

Watercolour painting of big, moody sky with big, fluffy clouds. The foreground is in orange-y, earthy tones, with purple silhouettes of trees and a house on a chicken foot (kinda). High in the sky there’s a silhouette of a small witch flying on a broomstick.

Beautiful work! And I relate, no such thing as “going home”. You can’t step into the same river twice.

It’s almost like holding a baby… I miss and not miss those days! 🤣

I was gonna do stuff, but the dog had other plans. Can’t say I’m unhappy about it. #DogsOfBluesky #dog #chihuahua

My whole life, to help me fall asleep, I needed to move my foot against the sheet under the covers. The sensation would soothe me to sleep. That cat “hunted” that habit out of me. He died 13 years ago, and the habit is back. I still miss him!

SevaRam @sevarammedit8s.bsky.social · 06/01/2026

Oh I feel this! 🤣👏👏👏

SevaRam @sevarammedit8s.bsky.social · 06/01/2026

The cat, pats the blanket cautiously with its paw. I jerk my foot under it, and the #spooked animal jumps up, almost vertically. I laugh at this cartoony feat. I think I’m a bad person when I do. And yet, I spook the cat again when opportunity presents itself. I am a bad person. #vss365

Yesterday I tried to #paint this Guatemalan landscape from a friend’s photo. I was way under qualified for this! 🤣🤣🤣 Today I’ll break it down to get a handle on some elements. Clouds! #watercolour #beginner #waterclor

A beginner’s attempt at a watercolour, depicting green mountain with some more mountains in the back, with a big fluffy pink cloud.

Reference photo for the previous picture, featuring big, lush mountain range on a coastline with large pinkish, fluffy clouds overhead.

Omg… Dad humour transcended!

It feels like it! And I’m totally ok with witchcraft, so at least that part feels good! 😊

SevaRam @sevarammedit8s.bsky.social · 03/01/2026

Thank you so much! Painting is not like riding a bicycle, and mixing paints is akin to witchcraft. This medium requires delicate and nuanced approach, and that’s very unnatural to me! Learning new things at 50! 🤣

I managed another #watercolour #painting with Santa’s paints! Same view, different time of the day, and blowing snow. It’s been snowing here almost every day 😭. I’m learning so much! #art #watercolor #beginnerpainting

Watercolour painting in very light tones depicting a snowy landscape with 2 trees in the foreground.

Photo of 2 watercolour paintings side by side on a wooden table. Some watercolour paints in tubes sit above the paintings.

The 2 paintings are the snowy nightscape I posted yesterday, and the day snowy landscape from today.

His face turned grey. “What.. is this?” “Abstraction: Nude study #5, professor.” “Mr. Creech, you… degenerate,” he boomed. “This is your Advanced Cadaver Embalming Technology practicum, not some art class for freaks!” McMasters shook: Whe… where are your other “studies”? #vss365 #abstraction

Santa brought me some nice watercolours so I “arted” last night. I used to paint in my teens (never watercolours tho), so this is starting from zero again. Frustrating, with some glimmers of hope. #art #watercolour #watercolor #painting
