I am often skeptical about the power of things like this especially since I never ever.jear about the results after the fact but I'm going to put my skepticism aside and act. Feb 28th. Buy nothing, do not engage with Corporations.

Glad to hear everyone's fine! Sorry you were there all the same. Panicking at the ER is so relatable.

988 the FEDERAL suicide support line has removed all mention of trans folks from their site. I can only imagine this means trans people are not safe to call that line. If you need help, please call trans lifeline. (If you're trans and in need of support) A trans person will answer and support you.

Major breaking trans news: The ACLU has launched a lawsuit on behalf of 7 transgender people affected by Trump’s passport ban. Incredible filing. The Trump admin is now swarmed with lawsuits over discriminatory and illegal executive orders.

We can't get swept up in what he says. He's a known liar and his lies mean nothing. If we spend all our energy trying to combat lies we have nothing left. We spend our energy on action friends.

Over on the other site Elon Musk said that DOGE stopped $50M of condoms from being delivered to Gaza which Trump the repeated several times but it turns out that was the number for all contraceptive support from USAID everywhere on Earth, of which none went to Palestinians.

14 years ago I was worried and concerned about the impact of social media on relationships. 14 years ago I noticed I was relying on likes as communication rather than reaching out or tapping in with folks.... I did change my behavior for a short while but it didn't last. Sadly.

If you threatened to deport a bishop because they advocated for mercy, you’re not a follower of Jesus Christ.

It's been very easy for my brain to just scroll a feed and feel like I've connected with friends. How many people are on my friends list that I don't even see? Trusting platforms to actually show me what's really happening with my friends isn't wise. It's a process of learning and detoxing. 3/3

I need to be honest with myself that social media platforms all view me as a commodity to be sold to ad creators and companies that want to sell me things. I need to flex muscles that have atrophied and be intentional. But I also need to be honest with myself that that skill HAS atrophied. 2/3

I'm trying to be more intentional about what platforms I use for what purpose. And be more intentional about staying connected with people. Relying on feeds to show me what's going on with friends isn't going to work, and in fact...hasn't worked for years. 1/3

I trimmed up my manjula pothos and this leaf sadly didn't get to stay but man it's pretty perfect.

I love this so much! At the inauguration, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wore a distinctive collar adorned with cowrie shells, which are believed to offer protection from evil in African traditions. This choice mirrors the late Justice Ginsburg’s practice of using collars to convey a message.

"really? Go chill office?" And he replied "yes" We've been working on yes/no replies so that was exciting! And once we got there, he had told the truth. That's what he wanted. 2/2

Sprocket is a talking dog and uses buttons to communicate. Sometimes he surprises me. Like last night when he said "go chill office". That's not usually a place he wants to be and he rarely uses the "chill" button so I asked 1/2
