Yooo I promise this is gonna be a chill time -- I'm obviously the host but over this last year Wheel of Webcomics has created a lot of new friendships and brought a lot of people together. It's something that I think is really important in the wake of all these corporations crashing down around us.

Also for comics folks looking to migrate from tapas or indeed any dying or ai slop infested platform quickly and relatively painlessly comicfury just lets you schedule up to 100 pages per batch at custom time intervals and its scheduler tool can do literally everything youd ever want in your life

comicfury mass upload screen screenshot:

text: Mass-Upload comic pages to your webcomic
text: Select multiple files
Button: Browse...
status text: No files selected.
Prompt in field below: or drop comic images here (100 max.)

comicfury scheduling manager window

it has settings for specific weekdays, times, specific hour/day/week etc intervals [every 1,2,3, days etc] allows you to start posting on specific dates, and the set release dates button would autopopulate all your up to 100 pages per batch release times for you!! wow!! the most robust autoscheduler ive seen in my life on Any website!!

personal website hosting is always best but if not please everyone make sure to always have one fairly "stable" free host like neocities or comicfury. generally a platform thats trying to make money off of readership and ad space is sadly often too volatile to use as a primary host

If you want to see indie projects succeed, you have to spearhead the support for them. Talk openly about other people’s work and how much you like it, draw fanart, reshare content about the project, send it to a friend, leave comments on every update, donate money, etc.

Tomorrow, Discord will place everyone into an age group using account signals. They claim 90% of users won't have to confirm their age. They are also introducing new verification methods if you do need to verify that you are an adult, including Credit Cards and App Stores.

More than 90% of you won’t be asked to confirm your age. Since our last post about teen safety, we've had to launch age assurance solutions in more places, including Texas and Brazil. Laws requiring age assurance are expanding around the world. Rather than waiting to be told how to do it, we’re launching our own privacy-preserving approach: one that reflects your feedback.
You can check your age group status at User Settings > Account Status. We've estimated your age group automatically from account signals like how long your account has existed or the kinds of servers you're a part of. We don’t look at your messages, calls, or other content. We're launching this over the course of this week, so it may take a few days to reach your account.
If you're in the adult age group (18+), nothing changes. If you're in the teen age group (13-17), you can keep messaging friends, joining voice calls, and participating in non-age-restricted servers, but with additional safety protections that block age-restricted content, spaces, and settings. Otherwise, Discord works the same. More on this below.
We've added several new ways to confirm your age, including some that don't require an ID or selfie (including credit cards). If you're an adult but weren't automatically placed in the adult age group, you can confirm your age group at any time by going to User Settings > Account Status. More on the new options below.

Getting seen is a pain - comics are a VERY insular space. We're trying to get enough hands to be able to push outside of that together. A lot of people won't follow people off of Tapas or Webtoons We should expect more support out of our readers and the whole wheel effort tries to promote that.

031

Chazz @setincement.bsky.social · 22/09/2026

Regarding the whole news with TAPAS - Wheel of Webcomics IS NOT and WILL NEVER be a comic hosting site. We are here to try and drive traffic to OTHER comic sites through our zines, website and community events. It's a lot closer to indie comics press than anything else.

everyone's going to have to stop leaning on platforms like this to 'find their audience' because the audience is fake and also it doesn't actually belong to you. it belongs to the platform and it will remove you from the equation as soon as they can.
