When the so-called-AI bubble bursts, Amazon can drop their lease, cut their loss, and walk away, leaving the new owners of those chips with a commodity that's price is cratering

I'm interested to read it. I get the feeling that there was more to the inhumane conditions on slave ships than simply "commerce:" the dehumanizing helped those who sailed the ships pretend they weren't doing what they were doing to fellow human beings, allowed them to hide from the truth.

Good good. I've seen this a couple of times on YouTube where the sites are basically creating audio books out of other people's novels, without compensation. A summary isn't quite as flagrant, but by putting it into a so-called AI, our novels will then be used in their outputs. It's theft.

Video game forums (e.g. steam), like YouTube comments, are low-hanging fruit for putin's electronic cadres: they post anti-woke sentiments and boost them with upvotes, all from sock puppets accounts, while downvote anything woke. Rubes fall for it, believing it represents actual public opinion.

Exactly. And personification of these programs, which are nothing more than predictive models, is a big part of the scam, as it pulls in the rubes and gives the grifter corporations plausible deniability. "It wasn't us, it was our colleague the AI."

That wrong name error is core to what so-called-AI is: it's a model, no thought involved. It picks the medians, every time, nothing more. So even if it has a list of agents' names, it'll pick the median—and every time it does, it becomes more likely to use it again, growing more inaccurate.

And they're owned by the same billionaires.

I don't buy it, not the way they're claiming it to be dangerous. Sure, as an automation tool, it can help bad actors—every author pummeled by scam emails can attest to that—but becoming Skynet or the thing in The Matrix? Not a chance. They're making the claim to grift their investors.

So-called-AI has been plugged into other programs before; Python, for instance, for a year or two. Since it can't do math, it pushes math queries into Python and Python does the math. Same thing here and with the same limitations: what it pushes into Blender will inherit its inability to understand.
