I'm on holiday in Denmark. Just had the great pleasure of taking some cans back to the supermarket to reclaim the deposit. Simple; stick the cans in, get money out. We could have been enjoying this for a few years in Scotland now, if it weren't for infuriating childish politicking from Westminster.

I was in Sheffield yesterday and the air smelt of wood and heather smoke from the Pennines being on fire. This morning I am in Dundee and the air smells of heather and peat smoke from the Cairngorms being on fire. I read that the new prime minister will allow new drilling for oil in the north sea.

I was playing the bass, and some music came, fully formed, and it's so exactly what I wanted to do and arrived so effortlessly that I feel like I must have pinched it. I really hope I haven't.
