I have a t-shirt that reads: Adulthood is a scam. I hate it here. I don’t know if I want to play a game about it… 😆

I was lucky enough to have seen Paradise Theater, but KWH was my favorite.

I saw the Kilroy Was Here tour twice - once right around my 18th. Great show!

At one of our local cons this weekend. Running multiple games plus we tried out Bomb Busters. We couldn’t get past mission two without blowing ourselves up! #boardgames

Your comment reminded me of an ex-coworker who complained loudly to me about Rogue One’s diverse cast. His wife is Japanese and they have 2 kids - I couldn’t understand why diversity was a problem for him? 🙄

That’s the game my husband pulls out when I lose too many games to him. 😉

Relearned The aMAZEing Labyrinth yesterday, plus learned Chateau Roquefort., both for the coming a few weeks. I’m running them both as play to win events - my husband said for the latter, he might sign up just to win it. 😆 #boardgames

Yesterday’s Elder Scrolls: BotSE game was our third session, final battle. This was our toughest fight in a long time! #boardgames

Yesterday we were supposed to be learning/relearning a couple of games that I’m running at one of our local cons. Remembered dinner & dessert for the group, my character for the RPG in the evening, but forgot the games. Whoops - try again today! We played Elder Scrolls: BotSE instead. #boardgames

It was a huge birthday party, at a bar, with coworkers. Great fun!

010

Sesame Sam @sesamesam.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

We played with about 20 - there was much chaos and a lot of judgement being handed out!

After no board games for a while (plenty of console ones though), Sunday we returned to Elder Scrolls:BotSE for what I thought might end in a beating. It did, but it was us handing it out. Tonight, hubby & I think played a few “gumstick games”: Win (I lost) and Yet (tripled his score). #boardgames

Only one: Punchboard Paradise Con (aka PPCon). I’ll be hitting one game convention next month and attending another con that has gaming as well.

I’ve not played Splendor of any variety, but Targi is fantastic!

I’ve lost track! I’d guess 50 or more.

Played another chapter in Tales from the Red Dragon Inn this evening. Veteran level was a good one and we fairly handily beat the bad guys with little injury to ourselves. #boardgames

We enjoy it! (Me maybe more than my husband, who I think has won once and his logic brain can’t figure out why.)

010

Sesame Sam @sesamesam.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

They didn’t read most of it - just looked at what everyone else was doing and seemed to get it. Same child beat me bad enough at checkers at age 5 that I’ve not played since. They’re almost 22 now… 😝

Sesame Sam @sesamesam.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

I think our youngest was 6 when they first played Catan - and won. 😝 The amazing labyrinth I think is 7-8.

Sesame Sam @sesamesam.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

Not sure - I think I’m going to a game day that the con I work with is hosting tomorrow. Either that or I’m staying home & meal prepping.

Finally got to start our final set of chapters in Tales from the Red Dragon Inn! We don’t have any of the huge damage dealers, but we’re going through the enemies fairly quickly! #boardgames

Castles of Burgundy. One of my favorites, but I usually lose. (If I manage to not lose, I win - never quite sure how… 😆)

Finished our first session in Elder Scrolls: BotSE yesterday, and got partway through the second one. It’s a slog as we try different skills. Only one of us has fighter skills for dealing damage, one has an occasional big attack and the other two nickel and dime the enemies to death. #boardgames

Post con some friends came over and we played Purramid (not too long ago and thinky enough) and Race for the Galaxy. Slightly easier to understand after playing Roll for the Galaxy. Unfortunately starting to learn it at 8:30pm after a long day is less than ideal! #boardgames

Ha! One of our FLGS and the con I work with have hosted a game day the last couple of years called Gen Can’t.

Worked at the game area with @extralife4kids.bsky.social today at @comicconnebraska.com and played Marvel Fluxx, Marvel Mayhem, Project L, and Latice Hawai’i. Gaming area started slow but was decently busy the bulk of the day. #boardgames

Card games: No Thanks!, Similo (any flavor), Castle Combo, Flip 7 Board: Hues & Cues, Project L, maybe Azul (we’ve only played with 2 players, so I’m not sure how it’d work with 4)

Dungeons… We’ve found it to be an exercise in understanding what futility is. 😂 Got to the boss twice - never won. Good luck!

I’ve had this on a list of potential gifts for my husband for quite a while. I’ll be interested to hear what you think.

No pipe and drape?! How loud is it? I’ve been in school me stadiums where it’s fine and others where you can barely hear the people next to you.

As long be who’s finally got no kids living in our game room, I feel your pain! We had games stored in art cabinets, which had art stuff unused because it was blocked, etc. Once the last one moved upstairs, we finally could move things back to how it was pre-kids - better even. You’ve got this!

110

Sesame Sam @sesamesam.bsky.social · 25/07/2026

No #boardgames for me today, but I submitted events for a game day at one of our FLGS and the con I work with, so that should count for something, right?

010

Sesame Sam @sesamesam.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

Two things: kids keep moving back in or out (we have to store their stuff) and my husband, a procrastinator, would rather play video games than go down & move kids’ stuff before setting up the game table.

We’ve been playing Elder Scrolls with friends and decided no retconning started yesterday. It didn’t last because during the first session, we have new classes to learn plus new skills. If it doesn’t affect anyone negatively, we’re allowing it. (Usually it’s the next person’s turn.) Other games, no.

Back to Tamriel today with Elder Scrolls: BotSE. I’m playing a Breton Warden with Speech and Daedric Summoning and we’re doing quests that are giving us more companions. Going well now but our first full combat required a guild assist. #boardgames

Played Things in Rings, Flamecraft, and Dungeon Dice today. Things in Rings was really liked by one and actively despised by another. I lost the other two games, but at least I tied with my husband for last place. (He usually has a much higher score than me, so not bad.) #boardgames

Great day of board games! First was Roll for the Galaxy, then The White Castle, and finally wrapping up with Area 1851. Lost the first two - losing the third currently…. #boardgames
