When I first tried learning art I actually started with 3D, and it's definitely affected my attempts to learn 2D art. Weirdly I found my brain mapping on pixel art better than other 2D art stuff so I've leaned into it; though recently I've been trying to do some actual drawing... It's intimidating.

I took a while to warm up to Hades 2, particularly because of the penalty. I can think of reasons for most of the design choices I disagree with; but the penalty only has bad excuses. Goes away after a bit, but it left such a garbage first impression.

I've sorta fallen into my old habit of not sharing stuff, but seeing some other folks post WIPS had me feelin like I should so, some more WIP of the platformer stuff I was working on. It's missing a lot but I think it's a solid direction.

Hell, I struggle even with critiques from friends when I do art stuff because like, are they being positive about it because they're nice and they want to be supportive, or because it looks good? Then are they being overly critical to appear not to be just supportive? Curse you, BRAAAAIN!
