James. I kinda understand why you want to defend Starmer because some of the vitriol is way over the top. But he is not handling this well. The UK should be a lot stronger in opposition. Notice how Trump won't say a word about Sánchez personally. Only some vague words about Spain.

There's a kernel of truth to it, though. For many years people have paid taxes and not seen the tangible benefits. If more public money went to public good, fewer would complain about taxes.
