This is an especially dramatic example. The bracelet is formed from a substantial piece of crystal-clear Lucite with sweeping asymmetrical curves, recessed areas and thick sculptural planes. The Lucite bends and refracts the light beautifully, giving the bracelet an almost ice-like or flowing-water appearance.
The cuff measures approximately 3 inches at its widest/highest point, making this a substantial statement bracelet rather than an ordinary Lucite bangle.
Patricia von Musulin established her design company in the 1970s and became known for bold, sculptural accessories and her innovative use of materials, including Lucite. The bracelet has a wonderful substantial weight and presence on the wrist.
Condition
Good vintage condition with surface scratches, scuffs and light wear throughout the clear Lucite, consistent with age and previous use. Because the bracelet is transparent, some marks become more or less visible depending upon the lighting and angle.
