Untitled Project WIP Anastacia X Mexican Gothic A gothic romantic fantasy inspired by the Nguyen Dynasty of Vietnam #questpit #w #A #Sff

Dark, lush green foliage background with the text: “Untitled Work in Progress Project: In Song and Blood by Serena Vu.”

A dark green background with the title Tropes and Themes. In the centre is an image of a woman wearing a bright orange traditional dress of Nguyễn dynasty Vietnam, holding a paper fan. In the blurred background is another woman wearing a yellow version of the dress. Surrounding the image are the words: girl pretending to be the princess, she does it all for vengeance, arranged marriage, ghosts that LITERALLY come back to haunt you, Viet shamanism, court intrigue, Asian fantasy gothic romance, FMC who lives with aphonia, lush dynastic Vietnamese culture.

A dark background with the title Moodboard, showing nine images:
Top row: a lush archway in the rain, a man in dark blue robes with his face hidden by a screen, a hand on a table with a brush, ink stone, and bowl.
Middle row: a man in traditional Vietnamese black robes standing on a bridge, a girl in traditional blue Vietnamese dress and headwear, a woman stepping out of dark wooden doors wearing green robes.
Bottom row: a person in red robes holding a plate of traditional Vietnamese food beside more dishes and a tea set, a woman seated at a wood table and sofa in pale grey robes, and a stone staircase.

A dark green background with the title The Pitch, then the words: “A courtesan assumes the identity of a dead princess and, with a wayward prince at her side, seeks renounce on those who stole her voice, murdered her mother, and usurped a kingdom.” Below are the covers for Mexican Gothic, The Hurricane Wars, and the film Anastasia (1997).

"The death of a Dynast was a rare event. Even more astonishing was the death of the head of one of the ancient Nine Houses. After all, Ophelia’s kind were like immortal beings—monsters created in the image of the Goddesses." #1stLinePit #C #A #P #RF
