So instead they're just being incredibly difficult and petty towards Nuverse at every turn. Constant character delays, no story updates for months, last-minute character type changes, all due to "special circumstances" or "license holder issues". I've never seen anything like it.

You can't convince me Shueisha aren't trying to intentionally tank Bleach Soul Resonance. Mirrors High got announced a month after BSR released and ever since then it's been pretty clear that they want to cut bait on the deal with Nuverse but can't because it pulls in a couple million per month.
