I got to attend a class on testing out different acrylic mediums at my local art store. I had no idea things like this existed!

A canvas taped in a grid with each square containing a test swatch. Top two rows are a rose peach color, and the 3rd row is an iridescent gray. All swatches have different textures, ranging from grainy to bead-like, matte and gels, and some with higher walls. On the bottom right corner is a test of a tree using some of the different textures on the bark and leaves.

Happy Earth Day! 🌼🌱🌏

An illustration of macro images of things on earth. From top left to right: a persimmon, a cicada, a morning glory flower, a caterpillar eating a leaf, a moon jellyfish, some lotus leaves, turkeytail mushrooms, a bird, a dandelion in the rain

Another color done on this cross stitch! I'm loving the purples so far. Please also enjoy Wheatley happily smooshed between couch and window.

Cross stitch of landscape. Blue mountains and shadowy trees in the foreground. The sky is partially done with various colors of purple. The silhouette of not yet done colors show some planets and stars to come.

Wheatley, a white and orange cat, lays on a window sill behind a black couch. His cheek is smooshed up against the side of the window. He blinks at the camera, pleased with the attention.

Fourth color done! These trees feel very Bob Ross to me. Though it won't stay Bob Ross for too much longer once I start the sky. (Bonus pic of Wheatley enjoying one of the few warm days we've had recently)

Cross stitch wip with teal mountains and shadowy forests in front.

Wheatley, a white and orange cat lounging on top of a dresser next to an open window. He looks at the camera sleepily and tucks both front paws under him.

Third color of the current cross stitch project done. Mountains are all finished - next up, some trees. Bonus Norman pic included :)

2nd color of my newest cross stitch project done! Let me know if you can tell what it is so far. (Bonus sleepy Wheatley pic included)

Started a new cross stitch project today! I'll try to update whenever I finish a color (No promises). Also, please enjoy the newest Norman pic.

Cross stitch project. Just a few teal lines so far.

Norman the cat lays along the couch almost fully stretched on his side. His eyes are mostly closed and his cheek is smushed against the couch.

This is Norman. I think he's very cute. That is all.

Norman is a brown and gray tabby cat with white nose and paws. He's also polydactyl. He's standing on a headboard and looking at the camera.

Today I played D&D with friends and did some art and now I feel a little less terrible about the world.

I hope you all have a reCHARging Sunday 💙 💛 #Heartstopper #Heartsky

Nick nestles in deeper, right over the hicky he gave Charlie, and closes his eyes relishing the contact as he says, “Just… recharging.”

Nick plants a kiss in the crook of Charlie’s neck as a silently thank you.

I haven't painted since I moved back in April, so yesterday I tried a mini painting. The mini canvas was a lot of fun, might try more. Found the inspo on Pinterest. Can you tell one of my special interests is cats? #cat #acrylic

Acrylic painting on a mini canvas. Lavender background. In the bottom left corner, a gray cat peeks around with big eyes and ears back, looking like it's going to pounce.

An old painting I did of a lil kitten on a rainy day

Acrylic painting of a white and orange kitten sitting on a gray surface looking outside the window. Rain drops slide down the window as the kitten looks out to a lush green yard with evergreens and flower bushes.

Second ever cross stitch project was a gift for the hubby. I used glow in the dark thread for the stars, which I got as a gift back when the reddit gift exchange was still a thing.

Cross stitch of an imperial star destroyer from Star Wars. The background is black and there are different sized stars in the background. The whole thing is framed.

I think the #DnDWelcomeCommittee is going to be a regular thing (I seem to be maintaining it, gods help me) so let's show who the new friends are. Follow them (see the most recent list in replies), they love #DnD too!

I thoroughly enjoyed the Coffee Talk series as much as I enjoyed making the galaxy pattern on Neil's helmet.

A drawing of Neil from the video game Coffee Talk using alcohol markers. Neil is wearing an old fashioned orange astronaut suit, but the face of his helmet is a galaxy. He is drinking a latte by dipping his finger into the cup.

I started cross stitching in 2020 when a cheap hobby was a gold mine. Starry Night is just too fun to not start with that.

The only way I can start a new social media app is to drop a pic of my cat. #cat
