The VDL revised #MFF proposals go perhaps as far as they can on regional chapters,partnership without having to retable Regulations. • Still, they are a lever against an otherwise pull from national ministries à la RFF. •1st time “direct negotiation” with regions will be recognised in legislation.

Call it a Single Fund…or is it like the Common Provisions Regulation…or is it simply like the previous Common Strategic Framework merged with CAP Strategic Plans? Voilá.If we compare #MFF 2021-2027 vs 2028-2034 both in 2025 prices: #Cohesion Structural Funds (ERDF,ESF,CF,EAFRD,EMF) is now €466bn vs new Economic and Territorial Cohesion,Fisheries and Rural: €412bn. On #CAP Farm Support: Pillar I is now €291bn vs new CAP income Support and Fisheries €261bn.

#MFF quick take, back-on-the-envelope. Farm support is slightly higher than at present (291 vs 300), overall expenditure in what is now Cohesion, Agriculture and transport is 778bm, VDL vows to 835bn and even a slight increase in national envelops (aka Nat & Reg Plans) & promises to end rebates.
