Not only that it’s a political litmus test - if you can’t be trusted to do the right thing and oppose a genocide really what can you be trusted with?

If only there was some draconian legislation called the “computer fraud and abuse act” that made it a crime to access a computer without authorisation that could be used in this situation.

Oh shit didn’t think of that. I guess we have to keep shooting children to keep the hard workers at the bullet factories gainfully employed as well?

It would honestly be pretty funny if Trump Mr Magoos a clean energy transition by increasing oil prices so much it forces everyone onto alternative energy sources.

The US tax system is based on citizenship so like the USA we could force this guy to pay tax or renounce his UK citizenship - then he couldn’t (legally) donate to reform - it’s a political choice to let him do this.

The fact that you; a Labour sycophant, want him to resign if he loses means that he obviously shouldn’t. If you want a say in how the Green Party internally chooses its leaders quit Labour and join up. Otherwise, pipe down.

Yeah exactly - dual loyalty is a common anti-semitic trope (www.worldjewishcongress.org/en/conspirac...) and saying a Jewish man who doesn’t conform to that trope isn’t truly Jewish is actual bald-faced antisemitism.

My neighbour said the BBC keeps taking his licence fee and promoting racism. So I asked how frequently he pays his licence fee and he said he has a direct debit set up to pay every month, so I said it sounds like he’s just directly funding bigotry and his daughter started crying.

When you go to examine something that didn’t exist it might appear to some to have vanished. The whole world must be like watching a magic show to some people.

Reducing energy cost to consumers, national energy independence, a badly needed investment in the economy, fossil fuels increasing in price as the easy to obtain sources are used up, not burning fossil fuels reduces small particulate pollution. Sure “no reason”. No need to mention climate change.

*Slaps forehead* - I forgot it’s a free market we just need to open up a competing water company down the road from Thames Water and do a bit of digging to put our own pipes in and then they will be forced to compete and improve their services silly me.

Inflation is a rise in prices of a basket of goods so if you adjust for it prices will on average remain stable. All that will tell you is if the price has gone up or down if relation to the rest of the basket. Prices as a proportion of the median income is probably a better metric.

The smart thing to do would have been to not draw the public’s attention to Hannah’s comments on this. Has anyone asked how we are going to pay for this ongoing social program? - I want to see it fully costed.

These models are completely static when you are using them all context has to be passed each time for generating each token. To me that’s one key difference to biological intelligence - an LLM doesn’t remember from generating one token to the next the “memory” is the built up input it gets each time
000
sephwrath.bsky.social @sephwrath.bsky.social · 23/04/2026
Each pass would be about the same there might be optimizations I’m not aware of but in general you need pass the input through the whole network and the result of each pass is a probability distribution for the next token over all possible tokens
040
sephwrath.bsky.social @sephwrath.bsky.social · 23/04/2026
Each token generated requires the network to be run once then it’s rerun with that token appended to the input to produce the next token to add to the output and so on - so number of tokens is a rough approximation of compute resources used.

Is it a coincidence that a puddle fits perfectly in the hole containing it? The fact that we are here observing the universe means that the universe must support the existence of life like ours. If it didn’t we wouldn’t be here and wouldn’t be asking the question.

It does take more courage to disobey an illegal order and face punishment than it takes to kill innocent people or be shot at, one of the reasons it’s not very common and we would be silly to expect if from the brave members of the US military - as Greg is saying if you read the words he wrote.
