By the way, the comic is still being worked on! I'm between jobs and the game has kinda taken over my life, but I haven't forgotten it. With Tapas going down soon and Webtoon being...Webtoon, I'm also looking at a mirroring site for it too, which is also why launch is taking so long.

Some more #wips for the prototype. Testing portrait styles, and showing off more of the super small dungeon that'll be featured in it when I send it out for feedback. #gamedev #gamemakerstudio #backgroundart #illustration #gamedemo #demo

I ADORE ComicFury. The community is also super duper warm, there's a forum for discussions/character roleplay, and your comic's site is fully customizable! It's also very beginner artist friendly, something you don't see a lot online anymore. Please host your comic there, you won't regret it.

It seems that people really like my game dev stuff, so here's some hand drawn BGs for the first dungeon/prototype! You can see me get better at painting with each one, lol. This is the Aelfwood, seat of power for the Spring Sovereign(ess). #illustration #gamedev #wip #backgroundart #forest

I didn't realize the game dev sphere on here was so bustling/active, wow. In that case, I'd love to post more about my project, I just hate sharing game progress until art is done since games take forever and ever to make. You can blue ball people if you show too much at one time.

Ah, I forgot to post these too. I'm practicing Mana series style pixel characters for...something. If the prototype's development goes smoothly, I'll show it off more. But for now, here's a sneak peek. #pixelart #ocsky #goddess #elf #gamedev #legendpfmana #aseprite

Also, it seems that right when I got back to work, Tapas decided to shit the bed, and Webtoon we've been known is a not so great platform, so yeah, my comic will be hosted on my personal site first and foremost, which I will link the moment I finish this chapter.

The #tapas situation sucks, but I promise to anyone scared of what's to come that making your own site is fun and gives you complete control of your content/monetization. Make a website, a Patreon, a newsletter, and you'll be fine. Especially if you already have an audience.

For those dealing with the tapas situation, I can recommend this as a way to get started with learning HTML/CSS. neocities and html for people has some good guides too. Along with codecademy. Comix Cleric is also probably gonna come out next month with an open source version so there's that too!

I tagged this as an elf for visibility's sake, but funnily enough a good chunk of my elfin/fairy characters don't have elf ears at all. So if you see elf ears in my artwork there's a chance it ISN'T a fairy, and if you see normal ears there's a 50/50 chance it's a fairy or human.

Pull your work off of Webtoon right now if you've put anything on there, allowing AI to be trained off their platform's work so "fans" can make AI "fancomics" is horrible, horrible. Pull it right now.

1 month to sketch it all, 1 month to line, 1 month to color, and then a day/a few days to letter and do last minute doodles. Not bad for one person lol

✨️Atelier Cyan ✨️ @sentinelofwind.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Mostly because when telling an actual story in the comic, it ends up being much longer than chapter 1, which was just introducing the premise.

✨️Atelier Cyan ✨️ @sentinelofwind.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

The comic is a slice of life/introduction to my world, so a set schedule isn't as much of a big deal. But my goal is to have one chapter/mini-story done every 2 months. I may have to extend it to every 3 though.

I'm finally coloring after missing my own personal deadline for coloring+lettering! I'm on page one lol New goal is to have it colored before my trip/vacay, and to letter and launch the comic around early October. #comic #webtoon #tapas #webcomic #wip #caitsidhe

My biggest pet peeve is that there's a ton of scam websites that are "Free QR Code Generator"s then the QR code stops working after a few days and then redirects you to ask you to PAY to re-activate it. I made a page on website for making ACTUALLY FREE QR Codes. Enjoy. konig.games/QRCodes/ #QRCodes

What's important is the ability to forgive yourself if the approach doesn't work out and to try something different. It's easy to get discouraged if you dont know what you need right off the bat to see a project through. Even more so when a plan needs to change after having a nailed down method.

Creation is underestimated by consumers AND artists. People don't realize how much goes into even the smallest project money wise, energy wise, time wise. Being realistic about those things will help you know whether or not the Big Dream Project should be stabbed at or held off imo. (2/2)

010

✨️Atelier Cyan ✨️ @sentinelofwind.bsky.social · 28/06/2026

Speaking as an artist that tried to do the Big Dream Story and realized they couldn't, motivation is directly tied to capacity, energy, time. I have a few disabilities, had a brutal physical job, and other responsibilities-so my Big Dream Story wasn't feasible. Even now it isn't. (1/2)

Chapter 2 is 10 pages. Oh wow. Most chapters will be small stories within the season once the seasonal god is established (since they'll make appearances here and there) but I didn't expect the introduction of Lady Spring to be so long.
