I highly suspect that the reason GC emulation is Switch 2 exclusive is that the hardware allows their emulator (Hagi) to directly run ROMs without prior work Super Mario Sunshine and Pikmin 1+2 required substantial work for each game on the CPU side before they could run 🐦 original post

finished Metroid: Zero Mission! the first 90% was excellent, just classic 2D Metroid gameplay then the stealth section started! felt novel at first, but I was not a fan after like 2 minutes also, the final boss was way too easy... I killed it in ~5 hits with Super Missiles

I think Nintendo is aiming to release one "big" soundtrack on Nintendo Music at the start of each month, and then fill the rest of the month out with "small" ones? we got SMBW (Nov) and Splatoon 2 (Dec) as our big soundtracks, and smaller games in between

I wish book sites listed length in terms of word count rather than number of pages I'm all in on ebooks nowadays, and with ebooks, the page count can vary wildly depending on the font, screen size, etc word count is a much more reliable way to gauge a work's length imo

honestly I'm just impressed at how many jellyfish Nintendo managed to put on the screen at once *and* they all follow a unique bounce/cheer/wave/sway pattern for each song and are synchronized to the beat really helps sell the "live concert audience" effect

a common argument I've seen is that Nintendo won't reveal Switch 2 until 2025 because of the holidays I wouldn't rule out a 2024 reveal based on that line of thinking, imo Nintendo has outright said they are willing to sacrifice short-term profits in favour of long-term growth
