So sorry. Pet owners all know that loss, and the grief. It's devastating, and there's nothing that can be said.

You do realise you're missing all the Northern Scottish islands, like the Shetlands. And the western most islands like St Kilda.

Really? Proscribing grannies with placards, weapons industry has bought the politicians. And we're going to cut benefits to the most vulnerable to fund defence spending. Yeah. Real sane.

Really? I'd say more and more necessary. Given how mad Westminster seems to have become.

So the nuclear deterrent doesn't work then? 😀 No-one is suggesting an independent Scotland won't need a military. It was outlined in the 2014 White Paper. Including an air force and an enhanced patrol boat programme. Right now, we wait for frigates despatched from Portsmouth.

Of course it's a Labrador. I should video Daisy doing her spit helicopter, leaping into the air, spinning like a mad thing with spit flying everywhere. That husky stood no chance.

They probably think much the same as they thought when Spain refused to host nuclear weapons. And as I said, an independent Scotland would not need nuclear weapons, so there's no reason why rUK shouldn't just move the nuclear fleet. And the rotting ones from Rosyth too.

I do, but 'Scotland' doesn't have a nuclear deterrent, so it wouldn't be scrapping anything. If the UK wants to spend 10s of billions on nuclear viagra to fool itself into thinking it's a 'Great Power', then move the weapons to London. And my original response was 100% correct.

Absolutely. A nuclear armed Scotland would be ridiculous and repugnant. If the UK wants to play at being a military power, they can move the damn things to the Thames Estuary.

And the reason is because Labour led local government couldn't be trusted with the funds to deliver policy. They wanted Provost's limos and vanity bridges.

Oh, look up meta-bind, combined with data-view, javascript etc. its incredibly powerful. And pretty intuitive, especially using the sort/filter and embed stuff.

You can do amazing things with Obsidian. The one thing I find it struggles with is sharing content, and I haven't got the paid version.

Who said anything about scrapping it? Scotland just doesn't want to host it. Put it in Portsmouth or London.

True. And for me the ability to quickly import notes from a spreadsheet and update fields on the fly is really helpful. Wish they would update meta-bind though.

And nobody under the age of 81 was alive during the war. 87, if they were there for the start. None of these chuds were alive during the war. They have just fantasised some idealised British Empire of tea and Spitfires, and have no idea of the reality of life for most Britons in 1939.

Had the same. Mother was brought into the school. I was present, I can read numbers upside down. It wasn't discussed again, but in her old age, she told me the school had wanted her to put me into a special programme, and she always regretted not doing it.

Fingers crossed. But I ran into some bloke in the airport bar in Rhodes this week, who was happy to tell me Rupert Lowe was exactly what the country needs, and the Marines should be machine-gunning small boats. Brain formed by lies, racism, fear and envy. So I called him a fuckwit.

Travels eh.. return leg to Scotland - the very old Australian saying 'kissed on the dick by a fairy' - given an exit row, actually managed to sleep on a plane, a changed bus schedule saved a 45 minute wait... Fortune smiled.
