✅ A 'yes' vote would make no changes to MA law – the 2024 firearm safety law remains in place. ❎ A 'no' vote would repeal the 2024 gun safety law, rolling back current red flag laws, ghost gun restrictions, and bump stock bans.

Question 9: Firearm Safety Law Repeal This question asks whether to repeal a firearm safety law passed in 2024. The primary components of the legislation include a robust 'red flag law' provision, a crackdown on 'ghost guns' by requiring serial numbers, and a ban on bump stocks and glock switches.

While the FAA gave nationwide approval to Amazon for Prime Air, this blank check does not account for the unique landscapes and wildlife we have here in MA. I stand with our federal delegation in urging Amazon to do the work to understand how Prime Air fits – or doesnt fit – into our communities.

Thank you to Sen Elizabeth Warren, Sen Edward Markey, Rep Jim McGovern, and Rep Lori Trahan for urging Amazon to work with the FAA to dig into the environmental impacts of the company's drone proposal.

How would dozens of Amazon Prime Air delivery drones flying above Central Mass affect our neighborhoods, landscapes, and wildlife? We dont know – and neither does Amazon, because they have not done an environmental assessment. www.nbcboston.com/news/local/a...

✅ A 'yes' vote would repeal the adult-use cannabis law and make retail sales illegal beginning in 2028. ❎ A 'no' vote would make no changes to MA law – cannabis would remain legal for adults.

Senator Mike Moore @senmikemoore.bsky.social · 13/10/2026
Question 8: Adult-Use Cannabis Law Repeal In 2016, MA voters made cannabis legal to possess & purchase for adults 21+. Q8 would repeal this law – adults would still be able to legally possess up to 1oz of cannabis, but recreational dispensaries must transition to medical-only or be forced to close.

Until they can meet these important concerns with tangible solutions and earn the trust of the people who live in the communities they'll affect, I must stand with my neighbors to oppose Amazon Prime Air in Central Massachusetts.

The residents that came to the last Westborough Planning Board meeting spoke with one voice: they do not want Amazon Prime Air delivery drones flying in the skies above their homes.

✅ A 'yes' vote would lower the 62F trigger criteria and reduce state revenue limits year over year. ❎ A 'no' vote would make no changes to MA law – 62F and its trigger would remain as-is.

Senator Mike Moore @senmikemoore.bsky.social · 08/10/2026
Question 5: Tax Revenue Collection Limit Under Chapter 62F, MA must return some tax dollars if revenues exceed a certain amount. This would change 62F’s formula so that any revenue exceeding the prior year’s revenue + average growth in wages & salaries over the prior 3y must be refunded.

✅ A 'yes' vote would replace MA's current party primary system with an all-party ballot. ❎ A 'no' vote would leave state law as-is – political parties would continue to operate their own primaries on their own separate ballots.

Senator Mike Moore @senmikemoore.bsky.social · 05/10/2026
Question 3: All-Party State Primary Elections Political parties conduct their own primary elections to decide who will appear on the ballot. Q3 would replace this system with a single, all-party primary. The 2 candidates who receive the most votes advance to the general, regardless of their party.

✅ A 'yes' vote would give CPCS employees the right to form a union if they want one. It would also require the Governor to approve any funding needed for a bargaining agreement if one is negotiated. ❎ A 'no' vote would leave state law as-is – public defenders would not be allowed to form a union.

Senator Mike Moore @senmikemoore.bsky.social · 02/10/2026
Question 2: Public Defender Union Rights Public defenders, lawyers that provide legal representation to people who cannot afford an attorney, currently do not have the right to form a union. This question asks voters whether public defenders should be allowed the right to collectively bargain.

It would also research how biases are assessed within these AIs and how we can ensure women, minorities, and older adults aren't being discriminated against in the workplace. These protections are necessary and urgent. Lets follow California's lead and get this done for Massachusetts.

I have a bill (S.49) in the Senate that establishes a commission to study how AI decision-making is being used in both the private and public sectors, and to recommend regulations on how we can protect working people from unaccountable computer systems.

Senator Mike Moore @senmikemoore.bsky.social · 02/10/2026
In the absence of leadership from DC, states must step up to protect workers. I'm thrilled that California has enacted robust protections for everyday working people, but we must act to defend Bay Staters from these unfair business practices too.

Artificial Intelligence is already being used to monitor worker productivity, make hiring decisions, and fire workers who dont meet arbitrary and opaque benchmarks. It is ridiculous to let computers stand in charge of humans' lives and livelihoods.

✅ A 'yes' vote would make many records held by the Legislature & Governor's offices available to the public, giving citizens a better view into Beacon Hill's operations. ❎ A 'no' vote would keep most records held by the Legislature & Governor's offices exempt from the state's public records law.

Senator Mike Moore @senmikemoore.bsky.social · 01/10/2026
Question 1: Public Records Law Expansion The Legislature and the Governor's office are currently exempt from MA public records law. This measure would allow constituents to request some documents, including financial materials, from Beacon Hill with a response required within 10 business days.

The people who live in Westborough and surrounding communities have important questions about how Amazon plans to operate its drones safely, quietly, and in a way that respects their privacy – and so far, many of these questions remain unanswered.
