As global competition intensifies, Canada has a narrow window to translate its research strengths into Canadian jobs, intellectual property, manufacturing, exports and national-security capabilities. It is important that we invest in this cutting edge industry in which Canada can be a global leader.

Meeting with young Canadians is one of the most rewarding parts of my role as a senator. Their questions, insights and perspectives help shape conversations about Canada’s future. As SENgage celebrates reaching 100,000 youth, I’m grateful to everyone who has participated along the way!

As we recognize this important history, I would also like to take a moment to recognize the history, achievements, civil-rights struggles, and stories of Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and gender-diverse people, from coast to coast to coast.
