Hey guys! I know we all like to joke about July being pride 2.0 / Wrath month, but let's also remember it's disability pride month too! Many of us are both LGBTQ+ and live with disabilities and it's more important than ever that both groups stick together and support each other!

The disability pride flag.
It is a diagonal set of pastel coloured stripes on a black background.

The colours corresponding with the following meanings:

Charcoal Grey: Mourning for people who have died due to ableist violence, abuse, suicide, and illness.

Red Stripe: Physical disabilities.

Gold Stripe: Neurodiversity.

Blue Stripe: Emotional and psychiatric disabilities.

Green Stripe: Sensory disabilities.

White Stripe: Undiagnosed and invisible disabilities.

Anyhow those are my thoughts. It's a shame a clearly talented creator handles their own PR so badly. They didn't need to block a customer who asked a genuine question. Sadly I think this type of reaction will lose them more customers which is a pity.

When they replied I told them I was sorry they misunderstood Theo. That Theo wants to support stores like theirs but obviously wouldn't support this store if they remain blocked. I also mentioned that acting in this way is the store owner's choice and said good luck with that. Then I was blocked.

I'm sorry that you utterly misunderstood what Theo said. They weren't threatening you; their point was they wanted to support your store but if you didn't remove the block then obviously they wouldn't. That's your choice. It's also your choice to act in the that way you are. Good luck with that.

Interesting. Funnily enough I find the suggestion that RPG games without romances are for kids to be somewhat of an immature take. There are several awesome RPGs with wonderful friendship building systems (& other gameplay) which prove romance isn't needed. But we all like what we like I guess.

Totally understandable. SecondLife is a time/resource sink & priorities of RL don't always line up to give folks time there in the same way. If anyone finds the time for a virtual world I hope they choose SL over anything Meta; especially LGBTQ+ folks.

You just said about the idea of "stay silent & be safe". Loads of guys have suffered in silence exactly because of stuff like the pressures of toxic masculinity; being made to think being open about how they feel/felt equals weakness. It may not apply to you or I but it most certainly a thing.

Most people have experienced trauma of some type during their lifetime. The difference now is that more people feel able to discuss it - which is a healthy thing to do - because attitudes have improved. What we don't want is more stuff (like toxic masculinity) that stops them feeling able to.

There are ways for users to avoid that awful content. If they click the option "do not recommend" on those vids if Rogan, Peterson and their ilk appear on their feed it won't force feed them any more whilst letting them watch all your content. Curating our own feeds is a must these days.
