I don't use mixitup, but in streamerbot i have a step that triggers "clear the scene" in vtube studio before it adds the next hat for every hat redeem. like so. I also have expressions toggled on for certain redeems, so i have a trigger to disable those expressions for the new hats

ANYWAY weekly schedule posted later today when I have more energy, but we're continuing to fundraise for TWLOHA with a raid train! This Wednesday at 530 eastern, we're doing some Japanese Rural Life Adventure 🎮💜

Simple, high-contrast graphic with white text on a dark background. The main message in the lower reads: "I'm participating in a Raid Train to raise money for To Write Love on Her Arms. All donations make it possible to connect people struggling to hope and help. Your story matters!" This message is centered and under a photo of Semebay in a circular frame that is also centered on the graphic. The phrase "I'm fundraising!" is directly above the circular photo. Under the main message, to the left-hand side, reads the organization's name in large stacked letters: "TO" over "WRITE" over "LOVE" over "ON HER" over "ARMS." The tone is personal, affirming, and inclusive, directly addressing the viewer's worth and belonging while making the purpose of the fundraiser clear.

Times in EDT, full text in alt text. We'll be live in 4 hours 🥰 twitch.tv/semebay 🎮💜

We're doing Snap the Cat today at 14:00 EDT. We were given a key from the dev through the Probably a Game stream team that I'm a part of (more details on that later).

Tomorrow, we're going to play Harvest Island, another game that a dev kindly reached out to me to play on stream. It's like Stardew, but it looks like there's a cult involved?! September 6, 2026 12:00 EDT

AND MONDAY, FINALLY. Japanese Rural Life Adventure, a game I bought weeks ago and have been dying to play. September 7, 2026 12:00 EDT

I don't know the playtime on these games, but Harvest Island and JRLA look like they will go a while, so I'm hoping we get a ton of progress on them!

I am going to be unwell for a while, and I want to give people a heads up

i noticed what looked like a canker sore in my cat's mouth, and it looked like there was a cut in it, which made me take her to the vet. i assumed there would be additional testing involved, so i took her today because payday and i wanted to cover the additional testing

She's been eating, she plays, she drinks, she hasn't seemed to lose weight, and that's awesome!

But when the vet looked at her, she said it's a miracle she's still eating and drinking considering.

The canker sore on her tongue was actually a series of lumps, and they can't tell if it's an immune/inflammation issue or cancer without doing the biopsy and sending the sample to a lab for analysis. So I had them to the biopsy. And it was terrifying, because I had to sign paperwork saying that she might die during sedation, do i agree to CPR if they need to bring her back, all that. Of course I signed off on it and said do whatever you can if anything goes wrong to keep her alive

So I took her to the vet at 10, and they were able to take her right in for a biopsy. So I went to the yarn store and spent a shit load of money on yarn and knitting needles. Then I went to the candy store and bought a shit load of candy for friends and family. Then I sat in a McDonald's for 45 minutes updating people. Then I spent 45 minutes in a Dunkin Donuts that I didn't realize was attached to the building the vet is in.

And she's "fine." She's coming off the ketamine, they had to cauterize her tongue in a few places because of the biopsy, and I have some pain meds for that to give her (I should give her some in about 30 minutes). They found more lumps on the back of her tongue where you can't see it without sedating her. She's hiding under the bed rn, she doesn't have the ketamine shakes anymore. So in 7-10 days I'll find out if she has cancer or an immune disorder or some other option.

i spoke with the vet tech instead of the dr (i think that's how that works?) and she said it didn't look great. there's a chance it's immune-related, but they found a lot of masses on her tongue further back in her mouth, and when i asked her for her clearly-stated opinion, she said it looks bad. and there was a brief discussion of what would happen if it's cancer, and if it's cancer... it's not a good place to have a surgery. and if surgery is needed... it would probably greatly reduce quality of life

Copying an announcement related to streaming from the Discord - Full text in alt text, links in followup post

Meanwhile I'll use this as the first official announcement of an upcoming collaboration/fundraising event!

We're participating in 1DF's Dream Girl Summer Fundraiser! 1DF is a non-profit I've been aware of since PAX East last year, when they organized a meetup there for ladies in the gaming and tech space to network. They provide microgrants, scholarships, mentorship, and other opportunities for women in the tech and gaming space (and beyond), and I know of people that have received scholarships for school, grants for travel and accessibility purposes, and resources to improve their streams and help spread their own charitable messages. I'm happy that I was accepted into their community, and this will hopefully be the first of many collaborations with them

Every donation towards the tiltify goal will activate a charity-only badger dance! All amounts, all the time. The dance will be available for everyone once the fundraiser has concluded, and a new dance will be created for the next fundraiser we take part in. So we're going to start pulling in more dances for people to redeem over time.

There is an internal contest for participants related to fashion, whether that fashion is in-game or in real life, and we'll be playing with yarn and making a super cool Wasteland Hood by Whymsi Row, which is a pattern I've wanted to make for probably years. I happened to have some yarn in colors matching the fundraiser's colors, so we're going to pull that out. Seems meant to be, y'know? (text crossed out) Disregard the Halloween on the label, it's Summerween, it's meant to be (text no longer crossed out)

And finally, the last content-related update for today: If you're a crocheter, I have two new patterns.
