iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I do think the emotional catharsis and epiphany wasn't as dramatic and engaging as I would have liked but I think the message got through.

000

So for it to end with Lara being able to forge her own path and accept her trauma and scars is so important. That she wants to live in a world where Mari is and become herself.

100

From the beginning I thought the show was emphasizing what a heavy burden Lara had been put on her with no choice and how it would subvert the whole expectation of "true love" and sacrifice especially young female characters make.

Good-bye, Lara kind of ended the way I expected it to and I'm glad. Spoilers in the thread:

in sickness and in health #chreon

‘charcoal’-like digital drawing, in grayscale. chris and leon are sitting half-naked, hiding their faces in each other’s shoulders. leon is with his back to us, he’s holding the blackened palm of his hand up and between them. it’s all black because of the t-virus. chris is holding leon’s hand in his own, very carefully.

I visited Uji in spring this year! Didnt plan to but woke up a bit too late to avoid crowds in the more touristy spots in Kyoto so I ended up there- very peaceful and a lot less people for sure.

Your precure fanart always retains the cuteness but adds a certain "edge" so they all look ready to really throw down too. So dynamic!!

A stabbing. #art

Black BG. White figures with accents of red. Person has stabbed the other in the hand and is now reeling back to stab again. The blood is red and arcing. The person with the knife literally sees red with a furious expression as their hair is flowing. The stabbed has short hair and is facing the stabber, shielding themself with their injured hand. They both seem naked.

Wardrobe swap??!!! #art #ocs

Light gray BG. Shinwoo and Lavrenti swap clothes. Lavrenti is wearing almost black, dark attire- A croptop turtleneck with no sleeves, with low pants that show a dark underwear(?) piece. He is blushing slightly, looking unsure. Shinwoo is wearing very baggy dark brown pants with a lighter brown, also baggy, dress shirt. A loose dark green woolen vest is over it. He is holding onto a light tan sling, rectangular bookbag. He is behind Lavrenti, walking forward and putting his hand out to block others from seeing and taking photos of his friend. He is blushing slightly with an annoyed look on his face, shouting: "NO PHOTOS!!" There are camera flashes and hearts off to the side.

You know I think now and then about how the same quality of freedom in Lupin probably drew me to Sonic the Hedgehog as a kid lol. Less heroic and more cynical but just that attitude of "i do whatever i want and i'm good at it and sometimes I help people."

I'm just rewatching scenes now and just can't get over it. There are a couple things I prefer in the book but some changes I welcome in the anime! I think with how the book is so extensive in Edmond's suffering, it really helped with understanding the depth of his despair better for the anime.

Yaoi day, huh... don't mind if I do 🐺🦇 #Silver&Iron

Art of the characters Ashley Lovell & Lake Bailey from the webcomic Silver & Iron, Ashley pulling Lake down to meet him where he sits for a kiss

Colour art of Ashley & Lake in a simplified "chibi" style sitting in a big box of chocolates. Ashley is holding his own box of chocolates he received from Lake, and is offering his neck bashfully in return. Lake is hitting the flushed emoji

Ashley & Lake sprawled on a beat-up armchair, Lake's arm around Ashley's shoulders, Ashley's leg resting on top of Lake's, both looking at the viewer.

Lake holding a body pillow made out of a comic panel featuring Ashley lying on his bed looking haggard. Lake is also looking melancholic, thinking "Oh weird dog guy... we're really in it now"

Some of the really bonkers visuals had me going 'oh my god those bastards did it- they really pulled it off.' Though I can see how it can be incredibly divisive for audiences- I personally dug it.

THE LONELINESS IN WHICH YOU'VE BECOME ACCUSTOMED TO BUT THE DESIRE TO REACH OUT- TO NOT UNDERSTAND SOMEONE ENTIRELY BUT THAT DESIRE TO UNDERSTAND OVERCOMING ALL, I CAN'T KEEP THINKING ABOUT IT??!

Gankutsuou living in my mind rent free- can't get over it- the deep despair, being surrounded by people who love and care for you despite your flaws, the artful seduction, the unconditional love that troubles you but also sets you free, the DRAMA OF IT ALL AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

210

Thank you-- he is such an interesting character- love how mysterious he feels too...

Ahh-- thank you- I want to animate Balzac too one day!
