If you reach out ahead of time, they can work with you to see/examine texts that they don't have out for public view/on display. Want to see Galileo's own copy of the Discoursi with his marginal notes? They have it.

Consider reaching out to the History of Science Collections at the University of OK. They have some really cool medical texts and can also connect you with historians of medicine who have expertise in what you are looking at.

Gulf of America?... BS, in 1705, even the English called it the gulf of mexico. Why? Because the southern US coastline belonged to Mexico. Horror upon horror I know....

Reminder that the French after their Revolution in their 1791 constitution limited the power of the monarchy and gave veto power to the legislative branch. Because kings should not have absolute power.

This is a post from TX's senior senator who has made it clear he has nothing but contempt for the people he represents. He assumes that those protesting aren't R voters (which many actually are) & are all tied to groups. But this post shows that showing up and calling pisses him off, so keep it up.

So let me get this straight, your Secretary of Defense and your Secretary of Transportation aren't responsible because they weren't doing their job that they weren't actually qualified to do?

And the gaslighiting about wind as well. Anyone who has a window seat on flight west won't see empty land in west TX anymore, but hundreds of miles of land with windfalls that stop at the NM border

As as aside, when I fly west I love to watch the change in topography. The last few years the now the view is this over W TX and of course stops once we cross the border to NM

When things get stressful or depressing or just wonky, I can always rely on Nigel to lift my spirits with his wonkiness....With everything going on lately, thank goodness he is always wonky!
