As one might expect, not being from any of these places, the map went all over the place for me. But I am most similar to San Francisco specifically.

This is Winston. He got out of his house without a collar and was wandering around my street. We took a brief adventure together to SF Animal Control where his chip was scanned and his frantic owner came and picked him up. Hooray!

Talking Points Memo on why the Iran war will never end.

Of course, they're morons. They're also corrupt. But as much as I appreciate the gotcha it's actually misplaced. Effective war diplomacy can get you the best and most creative agreement that the circumstances warrant. But that last part is key. Kickass diplomacy is never going to get the side that won the conflict to agree to a deal in which they lost. But that is essentially what's being asked of the diplomacy here.
