Weird, because I did neither of those things. The US has facilitated the genocide and there are no good guys in international diplomacy. The Biden administration was trying to pivot away from the ME and didn't want a regional war to flair up and drag the US back into another quagmire.

Sure bud. I don't particularly like Biden and found his administration to be an utter failure, but at least I bothered to learn what was actually happening from competent people who understood how things really work in international diplomacy.

You can only come to that conclusion because you have no idea what was going on behind the scenes, which is the entire point. Instead of coming out and denouncing the attacks and sowing political chaos in the region and at home he chose subtle moves and beauracratic fuckery that could be denied.

This really hurt him with Gaza. Biden actually did a lot in the typical liberal, wishy-washy, don't rock the boat too much way. His administration engaged in a lot of fuckery behind the scenes to hamstring and pressure Netanyahu while maintaining plausible deniability, but that cut both ways.

Moderating on trans issues? The moderate response would be that scapegoating a minority group to appease gullible reactionaries is unacceptable behavior, not to pretend that the scapegoating is somehow a legitimate concern.
