There was a photoshoot at con last weekend and they were NOT prepared for the judge turnout! This wasn't even everyone, they were just getting set up.

It's a bright sunny day in the courtyard of a hotel. A set of cement steps overflow with cosplayers on it and even down in front on the pavement crouching: all from Widow's Bay. Most are dressed like Patricia (with antlers and fox on head, or in her tshirt with rifle or gas pump) but you can see some of the Founder Richard Warren, people who played Teeth, the sea hag, and a few slashers! A few are dressed like Tom and Wyck as well.

I'm meant to be offline but I saw this news. While of course the big one is the Jurassic Park series, for me remembering Sam Neil means his turn as Merlin in "Merlin" (1998). GNU Sam Neil 😭🫂✨ Watch it. Enjoy him. It holds up for the most part very well. My heart is with his loved ones and fans.

Amazing! My paternal grandma's grandpa, the obit mentions he worked at Talbot (his brother was there too in a different department.) His father and older brothers in the 1870 census were listed as working at the Mills. Wow that's so cool to know you can point to those roofs like "we did that!" 😁

Shit I cut off the SIZE of this poll. It wasn't small. This was 77,789 votes. Nearly 78k people (on Tumblr) and only 1 in 5 would prefer to do the dishes. Presumably there's plenty of people where it's their second choice. Or will do it begrudgingly. But still.

Reminds me of a Tumblr poll on what's your chore of choice: only cook, do laundry, or do dishes. Cooking 39.7% Laundry 36.9% Dishes 19.7% 👈 "I hate/can't do all of these" 3.8% (I wish they'd forced the issue, only offered Can't not Hate. And I feel vacuum/sweep is missing for the overall convo.)

We have reached the stage in the fig tree's fruiting cycle that 4 people cannot eat all of the ripe figs fast enough. They are starting to drop to the ground for the bugs. I try to chuck them off the porch as often as possible to keep the wasps away. 😂 We can only eat so many figs.
