Five years of Taliban rule: dispossession, persecution, and violence. Sign our petition now and share it within your networks. Every signature increases the pressure on the federal government. Find the petition via the link in our bio and on our website. #dontforgetafghanistan #seebruecke

DON’T FORGET AFGHANISTAN

Afghanistan continues to need our solidarity.
Germany is making deals with the Taliban

Five years after the Taliban seized power, women and girls are still being systematically stripped of their rights, political opponents are being persecuted, and millions of people are living in poverty, displacement, and hunger. The German government is cooperating with the Taliban to facilitate deportations to Afghanistan.

At the same time, at-risk Afghans are still waiting for protection, despite German pledges to admit them.

Human rights must not be traded for border closures.
PROTECTION INSTEAD OF DEPORTATION

Together with the "Don’t Forget Afghanistan" initiative, we are launching a petition to the German government.

We demand:
No deportations to Afghanistan.
Implementation of all admission pledges.
Safe escape routes and protection for at-risk Afghans.
No deportation deals with the Taliban.

Sign and share the petition now!

March 21st is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. While politicians can hardly resist posting anti-racist statements, the reality for many is very different. Instead of deportations and isolation, it needs protection, freedom of movement & an end to racist policies.
It‘s a Privilege to Education yourself about racism instead of experiencing it.

March 15th is the International Day Against Police Brutality. Since 1990, at least 377 people were killed by German police. This includes deaths in police cells, during arrests, or in immigration detention. We demand accountability, consequences, and an end to police brutality!
International Day Against Police Brutality

Police violence is not an isolated issue. Every year people in Germany die during police operations.

In 2024, 22 people were shot and killed by police – the highest number in decades. In 2025 it was 17 people.

But lethal police violence is not only about shootings. Racial profiling, border control as well as Deaths in police custody or detention centers are part of it too. #nopolicebrutality

CEAS Reform: Tightening of EU Asylum Law. Mandatory fast-track procedures at external borders categorize by origin rather than individual merit. This erodes the right to asylum anchored in the Law. "Asylum procedure detention" effectively turns facilities into detention camps—even for children.

‌Hanau was not an isolated case.**

‌

On February 19, 2020, nine people were murdered for racist motives. Many others were injured and traumatized. Ibrahim Akkuş initially survived the attack and died as a result of it in 2026.

To this day, families and survivors are fighting for clarification, justice and consequences.

Warning signs were ignored. Protection was absent.

Racist terror does not emerge in a vacuum. It stands in a continuity of right-wing violence and policies that normalize exclusion.

To remember means to name. To remember means to change.
Racism kills. Solidarity protects.**

‌

Hanau reminds us to make racist continuities visible and to confront them decisively.

We stand with the families and survivors. We demand full clarification and real consequences.

Join the memorial events across Germany. Show solidarity.Gedenken auf den
